Summary of Position:
Ferris State University's Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI, prepares artists and designers to have impact through practice. Responsibilities for a KCAD adjunct faculty member include syllabus and class preparation, instruction during scheduled course time, providing reasonable availability to students for consultation and assistance with respect to assigned course(s), evaluation of student performance, submission of final grades on the FSU Banner system, and archiving of both course material and student work as requested by the program chair and/or the Dean of the College.
The mission of the Graphic Design program of Ferris State University's Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) is to graduate problem-solving, critical-thinking design innovators and creative communicators who are skilled in the latest technology, able to work collaboratively in a studio environment, and are passionate about art, design, and contemporary culture.
Teaching assignments within the BFA Graphic Design Program include a series of introductory to intermediate design-related content and software/technology-based courses, for example, introductory and immediate typography, publication design and production management, and contemporary media (web and application design). This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on KCAD's campus in Grand Rapids, MI. Online course delivery may be an option. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.
The anticipated start date of this position is August 2025 at the earliest and January 2026 at the latest. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Evidence of service to the field in terms of memberships on committees or boards of professional organizations and other contributions to the field.
Required Work Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of professional-level practice in graphic design.
Experience with the design process and workflow, including but not limited to critical thinking, creative review, industry-standard software, concepting, art direction, production processes and management, typography, and web and application design.

The Department of Medicine at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed) is hiring faculty for the division of Infectious Diseases. Applicants with interests in ambulatory and inpatient clinical infectious diseases, teaching medical students and residents, and at all faculty ranks will be considered. There are also opportunities and resources to support clinical, laboratory, and educational research. The division has plans to start an accredited infectious disease fellowship program in the near future. Leadership opportunities within the division and/or department are available to candidates with experience and a track record of academic achievement and leadership. Interested faculty candidates without prior experience but with a desire for future leadership opportunities may be groomed internally for future leadership roles within the institution. There are also clinical opportunities for applicants who are dually board-certified in adult and pediatric infectious diseases.
Responsibilities
Division faculty offer a comprehensive range of inpatient and ambulatory clinical services and educational programs for residents and medical students. Faculty members provide inpatient consultations (with no admissions to Division faculty) at Beacon Kalamazoo Health System and Bronson Health System, in addition to outpatient clinics. This position is optimum for candidates who want to expand their clinical practice under an umbrella of a university faculty practice. The compensation package is market competitive and would include a heavily incentivized clinical productivity model in addition to a base salary. New faculty members are expected to spend approximately ninety to ninety five percent of their time with clinical and teaching responsibilities. Academic effort is optional and would be up to five or ten percent. Call is shared with the division physicians in proportion to the clinical responsibilities assigned to the faculty. Depending on candidate's interest and availability, there are substantial opportunities for developing clinical research in collaboration with the medical school's Center for Clinical Research, pursuing academic endeavors, and expanding clinical services based on candidate sub-specialty training and career interests. SPECIFIC COURSE INFORMATION: This Adjunct Faculty position supports instruction in allied health programs, including courses in Health and Human Services Case Management and Health Services Administration. Qualified candidates will possess professional experience in case management and/or hold a Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential. The ideal candidate will be available to teach both asynchronous (on-demand) courses and live-streamed courses scheduled on weekday evenings from 6:00-9:00 p.m. While candidates local to the Grand Rapids, MI or Metro Detroit areas are preferred, highly qualified candidates from other locations will also be considered.
