Knowledgeable of all aspects of OR to include Radiology protocols and equipment. * Provides on-call support for Operating Room by participating in mandatory call rotation. * Trouble-shoots equipment related issues as needed and reports any issues as they occur to appropriate leadership. * Inserts intravenous lines in preparation for radiologic studies. * Performs imaging for myelograms and therapeutic chemotherapy, venograms, arthrograms, and other studies requiring intravenous or subdural injection of contrast medium. * May assist physician with biopsy and aspiration procedures, practicing sterile technique as required. Sets up sterile trays with all supplies and instruments required for procedures. * Provides assistance with transportation of patients to and from Emergency Room and In-Patient areas. * Performs portable x-ray imaging as ordered. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the duties listed above, all Registered Radiologic Technologists will be required to perform the following: * Regularly performs the duties and responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologists. Performs routine radiographic examinations in accordance with specific operating instructions and safety standards. * Determines proper technical factors and adjusts radiographic equipment accordingly. * Assesses patient condition throughout procedure and observes for adverse reactions. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations according to departmental procedures. * Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to manager. * Other duties as assigned by supervision.
