As a member of the NW Buildings team, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various projects, such as: education facilities; hospitals and healthcare centers; office buildings; warehouse and distribution centers; and mixed- use facilities.

You will also further hone your skills operating under various delivery methods including Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Management and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery). Seattle is the corporate HQ for the US Buildings division of Graham.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator is responsible for leadership on the project site, and is the go-to safety expert on site. This indivudal is also responsible for client management, direct interaction with the client, providing safety status updates and statistical data, site reports for Graham and the client, mentorship of coordinators, and monitoring the HSE Administrator workload.
Essential Functions

* Take responsibility for own health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of direct reports, the general public, and visitors to the site(s).

* Conduct project-specific safety orientation with all workers and visitors new to the worksite prior to commencement of work on the project.

* Arrange or conduct HSE training for workers and Supervisors.

* Assist in equipment inspections and preparation of reports, and follow-up on all noted deficiencies.

* Ensure compliance of the maintenance program for tools and equipment on the project.

* Correct any unsafe conditions, when possible, and report any uncorrected conditions to the responsible project Superintendent or Supervisor.

* Assist project Supervisor in the implementation and communication of the PSSP.

* Accompany local government HSE inspectors and project Superintendent for inspections, and ensure corrections to compliance with legislation are taken.

* Ensure all controlled products supplied to projects are accompanied by a corresponding current safety data sheet (SDS / MSDS), and other documentation as required by local government regulations.

* Ensure ERP and other related emergency documents, bulletins, and notices are posted and communicated to workers.

* Ensure all required HSE reports and meeting minutes are filed, with copies sent to the appropriate personnel for review and corrective action.

* Assist project Supervisors and / or Foremen with conducting incident investigations, analysis, and completion of incident reports and summaries.

* Review incident reports and maintain monthly statistics to identify undesirable trends.

* Conduct formal (documented) project inspections with the project Superintendent and a worker to ensure hazards are identified and a corrective action plan is developed and implemented.

* Support project Supervision with claims management and return to work processes.

* Meet with Operations Manager to discuss training needs.

* Assist with the safety-management budget.

* Interact with regulatory bodies and clients, taking a hands-on approach and acting as the point of contact.

* Deal with issues and support Operations as required.

* Build and maintain effective working relationships.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

* High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school.

* Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation is an asset.

* 3-5 years of experience in safety or a related field.

* Understanding of how HSE MS systems work.

* Understanding of general constructability.

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and online reporting software.

Essential Functions

* Manage and participate in the development of construction strategies, project execution planning, scheduling, and estimating.
* Play an integral role in all stages of the estimating cycle, with ownership of accountability for the estimate and an understanding of the plan created as a result.
* Communicate consistently with subcontractors and staff the expectations and directions regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety/loss prevention, quality control, and other performance standards.

The incumbent is responsible for managing, directing, and mentoring foremen and other field personnel, and is actively working to develop a full understanding of the project management lifecycle. The emphasis is on change management with respect to a range of scopes,and learning the pivotal impact of a project's contracts and sub-contracts.
Essential Functions

Execution

* Participate in the development of construction strategies, project execution plan, schedule, and estimate.
* Participate actively in all stages of the estimating cycle, with implied ownership of accountability for the estimate and an understanding of the plan created as a result.
* Communicate consistently with subcontractors and staff the expectations and directions regarding schedules, construction methods, company policies and procedures, permits, safety/loss prevention, quality control, and other performance standards.

* Understand the project specifications and general conditions of the contract, and confirm that all materials and work comply with the contract and quality specifications.
* Advise Project Manager and other personnel as required with respect to changes to methods, materials, schedules and procedures.
* Maintain a planning cycle that includes work three months ahead regarding materials, schedules, and crew.

Financial Accountabilities

* Assist in the review and update of progress, cost reports, schedules, and forecasts to completion.
* Assist in the management of the project budget by controlling expenses, administering owner and subcontractor billings, and identifying work not covered by subcontractor's scope of work/budget.
* Make commitments (i.e. contractual, spending, or purchasing) on the general contractor's behalf as described in Level 2 of their Authority Matrix:
* Contract / Sub Contract Change Orders: up to $25k
* Short Form Subcontracts: up to $10k
* Purchase Orders: up to $10k
* Purchase/Sale of Capital Assets: up to $10k in value
* Conduct business in line with client guidelines.

Essential Functions

* Advise Project Management of the acceptable level of jobsite safety and regulatory compliance.

The Scheduler/Planner is responsible for preparing and updating project schedules and provide planning and scheduling support as directed.

As a Scheduler/Planner at Graham you will:

* Develop project schedules that integrate the design, procurement, construction and commissioning streams for large building construction projects (up to $300M) at the tender or execution stages.
* Understand the design process, how it feeds into procurement and how it's phased with construction.
* Understand building construction logic, and sequencing of work in large buildings.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator is responsible for leadership on the project site, and is the go-to safety expert on site. This indivudal is also responsible for client management, direct interaction with the client, providing safety status updates and statistical data, site reports for Graham and the client, mentorship of coordinators, and monitoring the HSE Administrator workload.
Essential Functions

* Take responsibility for own health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as that of direct reports, the general public, and visitors to the site(s).

* Conduct project-specific safety orientation with all workers and visitors new to the worksite prior to commencement of work on the project.

* Arrange or conduct HSE training for workers and Supervisors.

* Assist in equipment inspections and preparation of reports, and follow-up on all noted deficiencies.

* Ensure compliance of the maintenance program for tools and equipment on the project.

* Correct any unsafe conditions, when possible, and report any uncorrected conditions to the responsible project Superintendent or Supervisor.

* Assist project Supervisor in the implementation and communication of the PSSP.

* Accompany local government HSE inspectors and project Superintendent for inspections, and ensure corrections to compliance with legislation are taken.

* Ensure all controlled products supplied to projects are accompanied by a corresponding current safety data sheet (SDS / MSDS), and other documentation as required by local government regulations.

* Ensure ERP and other related emergency documents, bulletins, and notices are posted and communicated to workers.

* Ensure all required HSE reports and meeting minutes are filed, with copies sent to the appropriate personnel for review and corrective action.

* Assist project Supervisors and / or Foremen with conducting incident investigations, analysis, and completion of incident reports and summaries.

* Review incident reports and maintain monthly statistics to identify undesirable trends.

* Conduct formal (documented) project inspections with the project Superintendent and a worker to ensure hazards are identified and a corrective action plan is developed and implemented.

* Support project Supervision with claims management and return to work processes.

* Meet with Operations Manager to discuss training needs.

* Assist with the safety-management budget.

* Interact with regulatory bodies and clients, taking a hands-on approach and acting as the point of contact.

* Deal with issues and support Operations as required.

* Build and maintain effective working relationships.

Education, Experience and Knowledge

* High school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school.

* Certification in Health and Safety, or a safety designation is an asset.

* 3-5 years of experience in safety or a related field.

* Understanding of how HSE MS systems work.

* Understanding of general constructability.

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and online reporting software.
