Pros of working at Grain Processing

Cons of working at Grain Processing

You name it. I was Electrical and Instrumentation. I was the kind of trainee that the day shift guys would go send to get a face shield and gloves to bust open a caustic line for “appearances only”. I would make it to the location with the gear and they would say “it’s already done!” Then they would go and tell the boss they did all the work. A couple of the guys are in therapy because they forced air on a VPVL actuator to pop the side out instead of just simply taking out the bolts or they threw out their back pulling wire. I would go to wipe trash out of the bottom of a panel 2 feet below the wires and they would run back and tell the bossman “he was gonna touch them I swear!” lol. The maintenance superintendent and the E&I superintendent just eat it up. The whole location is very racist and politically motivated. The boss would get mad about whatnot and come in the shop launching items off the workbench. I’m glad to be away from that joke of a plant.

Grain Processing benefits

The yearly bonus is nice

What do you like best about Grain Processing's CEO and the leadership team?

Not a single thing. You can go to management or leadership and they will completely disregard your issues no matter how large. Three times I had to go above from one boss to the next with no improvement to the issues whatsoever

How would you improve Grain Processing's culture?

Inclusion, inclusion, inclusion. And taking serious matters as what they are would be something of a start.

How did you prepare for the Grain Processing interview?

Just being yourself. It worked very well for an interview but it will only get you far if you match their friends political views outside of work

How does your compensation at Grain Processing compare to the industry average?

Average indeed.

What's the diversity at Grain Processing like?

Absolutely horrid. It’s about 98% white conservative men. Behind closed the doors the types of things I heard about minorities and others was sickening. If you don’t blend into their ideas you will be gone from that place fast.

What brings you the most joy at Grain Processing?

Everything. I love problems to solve, speaking to good people, learning, even the hard times.
