Gramercy Funds Management Leadership

Mr. Koenigsberger is Founder, Chief Investment Officer and the Managing Partner of Gramercy. He founded Gramercy in 1998 with a vision for the firm to become a global, institutional investment management firm focused on emerging markets. Mr. Koenigsberger has 34 years of investment experience dedicated to emerging markets with a specialization in distressed opportunistic credit strategies. He is a member of Gramercy’s Management Team and is Co-Chair of the Risk Management Committee.

Mr. Joannou has 18 years of financial management and control experience. As Co-Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Joannou manages all the world-wide accounting and financial reporting obligations of the Firm inclusive of the client funds and Gramercy management company. Such oversight includes daily and monthly analysis and reporting, annual audited financial statements, cash projections and controls, expense management, tax analysis and statements, management dashboards, and special analytical projects as requested by senior management. Mr. Joannou heads the Firm’s SSAE 18 SOC1 Type II compliance team and also assists the CCO and CLO with regulatory compliance. Further, he is a member of Gramercy’s Management Team.

Mr. Seaman has 37 years of business management experience. Mr. Seaman has executive oversight of the firm’s business areas including accounting, operations, legal, risk management, business development and investor relations, technology, human resources and administration. Mr. Seaman is Co-Chair of Gramercy’s Risk Management Committee. Further, he is a member of Gramercy’s Management Team, Valuation Committee and Compliance Committee.

Gene Farberov works at Gramercy Funds Management LLC and a Mng Dir/Chief Information Security Ofcr at Gramercy Funds Management LLC and Sr VP/Head:IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity at Gramercy Funds Management LLC. He has experience at EZE CASTLE SOFTWARE and has worked as Systems Administrator at Israel Defense Forces and Systems Administrator at GKH LAW. Gene works or has worked as VP:System Administrator at Gramercy Funds Management LLC. He attended Open University of Israel.

Mr. O’Melia has 15 years of legal experience. At Gramercy, he is responsible for managing all aspects of Gramercy’s legal affairs, including new business development initiatives related to fund formation and client on-boarding, legal aspects of public and private portfolio transactions, and risk management. In addition, Mr. O’Melia advises on regulatory and compliance matters, third-party relationship management and documentation, and various strategic initiatives. Further, he is a member of Gramercy’s Management Team.

Robert Lanava is a Chief Compliance Officer at Gramercy Funds Management LLC and is based in New, York.
