About the Position * Patient Access Services Representative - Rapid Clinic/Clinic * Part-Time .5-.8 FTE (40-64 hours per pay period) * Days, Evenings, Every Third Weekend * On-site at Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids * INTERNAL POSTING THROUGH: 10/28/2025 Job Summary: The Patient Access Services Representative is responsible for completing the registration process within patients. They are responsible for verifying insurance and assuring that registrations are completed. They are responsible for initiating referrals and financially securing accounts. Here's what you'll do when you join us: * Arrive all patients who come in for scheduled appointments by obtaining necessary consents, signatures, documents, and insurance verification from the patient. * Schedule patient appointments. * Collect co-pays at time of service. * Identify coverage or self-pay issues. Engaging the Financial Advocates as needed. * Enter patient information and scan required documents in the scheduling system. * Collaborate with the Business Department to support revenue cycle. * Utilize great customer service skills with both patients and coworkers. Responsible for accurate documentation and retention of the sterilization/disinfection records required following current policy and procedure. * Tracking Operating Room turnover and cleaning OR rooms between cases per policy. * Maintain knowledge of proper disposal of hazardous waste. * Transport and Decontamination: Responsible for receiving, identifying, and decontaminating used surgical and patient care instrumentation and equipment. * Assembly, Sterilization, and Storage; processes reusable instrumentation, utensils, scopes, and other reusable supplies. * Report any issues or discrepancies to the Director. * Prepares and restocks case carts for the OR cases. * Participates in professional growth and self-development activities to ensure accountability for own professional practice. * Participates in staff meetings, committees, and special projects; actively contributes to Surgical Services quality and development. * May be scheduled as a sterile processing float daily, as applicable, and responsible for Operating Room turnover, specimen transport, endoscope cleaning, and other duties as assigned. If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat: * Certification in sterile processing, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment. If noncertified at the start of employment, education will be assigned through Purdue University or other accredited organization after a minimum of 400 hours of departmental experience in instrument handling, assembly, decontamination, and sterilization to help exemplify knowledge of the department. And assist in the preparation of catering meals, patient trays and complimentary carts, and all other food items. Coordinate all menus including room service orders and using EPIC to log in and verify diet orders and changes. Answer phones in response to customer/patient needs. Assists with the preparation and delivery of patient trays, cafeteria food items, and catering. Serve cafeteria customers and conducts money transactions accurately for payment using the cash register and counts and calculates daily cafeteria receipts. Put away and rotates stock from food trucks as soon as they arrive. Stock/rotate cafeteria items, medical floor stocks and ensures overall cleanliness of cafeteria, dining room, and kitchen. Strip, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils to ensure cleanliness per department standards and regulations. Performs routine tasks using customer service skills, showing consideration of patients and other personnel in all service areas. All other duties assigned by your manager. JOB SUMMARY: The Ultrasound Tech works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director. Performs ultrasound procedures and all related duties. Resolve and troubleshoot drug distribution problems. * Assist in job development, cross-training, and training new employees and students. * Participate in staff meetings, attend and participate in other meetings as necessary. * Access the Minnesota Prescription Monitoring Program with suspected drug abuse/diversion behaviors and alert pharmacist if these behaviors or suspected/confirmed abuse is occurring. * Perform cash register transactions. If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat: * One-year previous pharmacy experience within the last three years required, or successful completion of the FPS tech 240 Classroom Training. Retail pharmacy experience preferred. * Pharmacy technician certification or five years retail pharmacy experience with the ability to obtain certification within six months.
