The ideal candidate must be able to: -Operate a forklift or other equipment to load or move materials. -Supply production area with needed materials from inventory. -Load or unload material onto or from trailers, pallets, trays, or shelves. -Process required paperwork. -Read work orders via onboard computer, follow oral instructions to ascertain materials and product to be moved. We are looking for both 1st and 2nd Shift CDL A Drivers for our Grand Rapids location. To operate company owned and leased gasoline or diesel-powered semi tractor trailers. To transport and deliver ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business demands. * Perform required inspections of truck, trailer, equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water. *Drives truck into position to load or unload. * Verifies load against shipping papers. * Drives truck to destination. * Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations * Prepares receipts for load picked up. * Collects payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges when directed. * Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. * Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions· Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Plan, coordinate, direct and perform loading and unloading of material and product. Verify and initiate records consistent with ISO & AIB procedures on incoming shipments along with the following duties. ESSENTIALDUTIES: Duties and responsibilities include the following. Oversees warehouse staff. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Read production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine workload and priority. Compares identifying information as well as counts, weighs, and/or or measures items in shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records and to ensure compliance with ISO standards. Ability to identify & define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions, both oral and written. Schedule sequential movement of materials into and out of storage Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production and/or delivery Expedite the transfer of materials to the appropriate destination by unloading and stacking material onto or off of pallets, skids or other devices. Follows, communicates and enforces safety regulations and company policy. Relate with all customers and co-workers in a professional manner. Performs related tasks as needed for the department and/or assigned by Safe operation of a forklift at all times. Ability to regularly lift or move 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lb Moves levers and presses pedals to drive fork truck and control movement of lifting Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks and transports load to designated area. Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls: reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Strong knowledge of Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices. Experience in corrugated manufacturing preferred and/or relevant lead experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Traverse Container is a manufacturing plant using corrugated paper. The work is performed in a shop environment.
