General Summary
Operate or tend machinery equipped with scoops, shovels, or buckets, to excavate and load loose materials. This location is based in Anchorage.
Starts engine, move levers, depress foot pedals, and turn dials to operate power machinery, such as power shovels, stripping shovels, scraper loaders, or backhoes.
Set up or inspect equipment prior to operation. Drive machines to work sites. Observe hand signals, GPS systems (Trimble preferred) grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.
Operate machinery to place rip rap rock material (classes 1, 2, and 3) in layered formations between low tides, perform activities such as backfilling excavations, vibrating or breaking rock or concrete.
Effectively use GPS on excavators to accurately place material ensuring compliance with standards.
Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work. Performs routine maintenance on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, replace parts, such as gears and bearings, and cleaning.
Measure and verify elevations and slopes to ensure accurate later placement of rip rap materials.
Communicate with team members to coordinate adjustments on placement.

General Summary
This position is responsible for providing on-site "functional" (i.e. structures, concrete, underground, etc.) supervision of a project.
Essential Job Accountabilities

Education
* High School Diploma or equivalency.
Work Experience
* 5+ years in construction management and/or craft supervision experience (i.e. Foreman) in a similar field of construction.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
* Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); company policies, procedures and standards. Communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills required.

General Summary

General Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Environmental Engineer in the implementation of the Business Safety Health Environmental and Quality plan.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Conduct routine inspections, documenting site conditions and assisting with monitoring activities.
Attend safety and environmental meetings, and present on environmental topics, preparing short briefs for crews; tracking associated environmental trainings.
Monitor waste storage and proper labeling and disposals. Assist in opportunities for recycling or waste reduction.
Partner with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with permit conditions, for water and air permits, including monitoring, documentation, and BMP utilization and maintenance.
Coordinate with the Environmental Engineer to keep digital and physical filing systems up to date. Assist with documentation across multi-agency requirements.
Review Spill Prevention, Stormwater, Dust Control and other environmental plans and ensure implementation in the field, verifying coverage and assisting field crews with compliance protocols.
Participate in audit protocols, agency inspections, and emergency response as needed.
Education
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate-level program
Visible Emissions Certification a plus
