Communicate design and constructability issues to project team and stakeholders per the project contract. * Provide first costs analysis and participate in life cycle analysis with Design team. * Participate in decision making process with Operations and Procurement to determine MEP trade partners to utilize in project pursuits. * Lead company-wide or regional MEP strategic initiatives and/or special projects. * Contribute subject matter expertise of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection system for project pursuits. * Participate in development and implementation of MEP training. * Lead integration of MEP Operations staff during MEP PreCon process and serve as resource to guide and consult with staff through to construction. Incorporate comments, feedback, and input into revised estimates or GMP's and assemble revised documents for final submission. * Take lead role or support role in Lump Sum bid process * Participate in hiring process, onboard and deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, execute/contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs. * Receive, file, and distribute design documents to internal team members. * Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, design community, and trade partners to enhance future business development opportunities. * Analyze cost data, unit prices, costs, and develop standard information for building systems estimated costs. * Participate and contribute to Launch Matrix for each milestone estimate. * Provide input to constructability reviews coordinate with Operations team and provide feedback to Design team and client. * Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate and develop clear and concise messages to explain variances for each project stakeholder. * Generate, coordinate, and manage Budget Control Reports (BCR) between each milestone estimate to manage cost events and value engineering opportunities. Provide variance reports for each milestone estimate to communicate scope development. * Contribute to Target Value Design process as appropriate for assigned projects. * Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned. #LI-ZO1 * Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or similar, and minimum of 8 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience * Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing * Building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices knowledge * Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule * Extensive knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents * Conceptual ability, able to work with minimum information and quickly develop understanding of owner/architect requirements * Project management of competing demands, and meet established deadlines * Familiar with operating procedures and methods of other departments - Procurement, Operations * Supervisory or management experience * Professional verbal and written communication skills * Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and familiar with estimating software * Some Travel required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
