General Summary
The Laborer is responsible for safely performing various tasks to support daily operations at various construction projects including but not limited to road/highway.
Essential Job Accountabilities
Assist in preparing job site by removing material including but not limited to debris, rocks, dirt, concrete, asphalt, and other material.
Perform daily job site and equipment inspections.
Perform job site clean-up and maintain job site free of hazards.
Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery.
Install and maintain perimeter barricades, fencing and screening.
Conduct grade checks.
Operate various hand tools and equipment including but not limited to picks, shovels, powered tools, jackhammers, saws, tampers, roto hammers, and drills.
Operate basic surveying/layout equipment including but not limited to, tape measure, level, pipe laser, etc.
Handle, secure, load and unload construction materials, tools, and machinery.
Dig holes or trenches, utilizing hand tools.
Cut, grind, break up, and demolish concrete and asphalt using various hand tools.
Shovel, excavate, backfill, and compact various materials including but limited to asphalt, concrete, flagstone, earth, and rocks.
Assist subgrade work with mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
Assist with setting structures, building, and moving forms, cutting lumber, and strip/patch.
Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, ramps, catwalks, shoring, barricades, and other temporary structures.
Flag and control traffic on roadways.
May operate equipment including but not limited to skid steers, forklifts, and light vehicles.
Support Carpenters, Masons, Operators, and other specialized trades as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
Work Experience
Previous construction experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to wear a full body harness and work at heights while tied off.
Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours).
Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions.
Ability to work in safety sensitive construction setting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces.
Physical Demands
Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
Lifting, pushing, pulling of heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs. or more.

Education

Job Summary
Knowledgeable in all duties performed by Payroll Clerk I and II. Assists management in daily operations of Department and is responsible for the management of the department in management's absence. Key Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Preconstruction Project Manager's primary responsibility is to manage risk for the company during the preconstruction phase by providing oversight and leadership to preconstruction teams. They are typically involved in multiple projects but may be assigned to a single large project when merited. In addition to having responsibility for the technical success and execution of the projects they work on; they are also responsible for managing the relationships with the other team members. Key Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of preconstruction services for projects, providing input, coordination, and problem solving value at all stages of design development.
* A strong design bid build estimating background is necessary. Personnel will develop alternative project delivery experience (P3s, Design Build, CM/GC, and CMAR).
* Expert level HCSS knowledge including project specific input of labor rates, equipment rates, insurance, bonding, and taxes.
* Responsibility for the preparation of accurate and timely estimates on large transportation project bids from start to finish, the lead estimator leads and directs the entire estimating.
* Experience working on large, complex transportation and heavy highway projects exceeding 100 million dollars.
* Critically analyze bid documents and understand risk and opportunities and articulate those to management.
* Define contract risk and establish contract cost exposure and probability due to the identified risk. Propose potential risk mitigation measures and/or recommend reasonable contract contingency.
* Thorough understanding of entire project phasing and scope on complex projects with earthwork, structures, paving, and underground work.
* Organize estimating team to review plans and specifications, make estimate assignments, and execute overall strategy for winning the bid.
* Active participant in reviewing the work of the entire estimating team for compliance with the plans, specifications, and jobsite conditions.

Job Summary
Sundt is looking for committed engineering (Civil, Structural, and Mechanical) and construction management students within accredited Universities/colleges. The internship will provide you with unique experiences on challenging projects throughout the US while providing you the opportunity to participate in several of the activities it takes to successfully build our projects. Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting with project record keeping, preparing shop drawings, and assisting with cost control records.
2. Assisting with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing.
3. Assisting with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction and filing.
4. Assisting with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring.
5. Attending bid openings, conferences, etc.; taking notes, making records, completing forms.
6. Observing and reporting results of meeting and conducting site tours for visitors .
7. Preparing quantity take-offs, calling vendors and sub-contractors for proposals.
8. Working as a manual laborer, helper, clerk or technician assistant, etc.
Minimum Job Requirements
1. A team player, ready and willing to take on whatever challenge is offered.
2. Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
3. Eager to learn, immensely curious, full of questions, and ready to get their hands dirty.
4. Prefer those who have interest in a construction career for a builder.
5. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Job Summary
Assist electrician in planning, lay-out, installation, testing, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards. Basic Job Functions:
The Project Superintendent (PS) will plan, coordinate, and supervise the field and/or administrative operations of projects. They will provide technical direction and have responsibility for the safety, costs, productivity, profitability, and overall quality of the work (including self-performed work) for the project(s). The PS will establish productivity goals and measure performance as well as schedule labor, materials, and equipment, including the work of subcontractors and may supervise one or more field superintendents.
This position includes several 'steps', which provide for a progression of skill and experience.
•Project Superintendent I is capable of less complex projects of $20 million and under with typically 3-5 years' experience in this position.
•Project Superintendent II is capable of medium scale projects of $20-$50 million in size with typically 5-10 years' experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages field operations. Is responsible for project success, including profitability, safety, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
2. Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop the project management plan (PMP) including the project scope management plan, procurement plan, environmental plan, time management plan, financial plan, quality management and safety plans and risk management plan to ensure successful project execution. Demonstrates an understanding of the change management process.
3. Responsible for the development and implementation of the Project Quality Management and Safety plans according to Sundt standards as part of the project management plan (PMP).
4. Provides leadership and guidance to assigned project team members and subcontractors. Plans, reviews, develops and manages the project team to ensure relentless execution of the project.
5. Ensures work is executed according to contract terms and conditions in a profitable manner.
6. Develops and manages the construction plan for the successful execution of the work performed.
7. Prepares and updates the original CPM Project Schedule and ensures the schedule is kept current to manage the project appropriately while utilizing LEAN processes and Weekly Work Plans.
8. Conducts weekly coordination meetings with project teams and subcontractors and prepares daily field status reports.
9. Interacts effectively with owners, teams and other stakeholders to maintain a positive project environment and exceptional client experience.
10. Assists in the review of shop drawings, submittals, subcontract change orders and purchase orders.
11. Coordinates the documentation of constructability issues, potential design conflicts and clarifications with the appropriate personnel.
12. Responsible for the timely completion of all punch lists and develops a schedule as required by the owner for the successful start-up and commissioning of all systems.
13. Prevents claims, identify potential claims, quantify, document, mitigate/resolve the effects of those that do occur on a timely basis.
Minimum Job Requirements:
1. Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience required.
2. Must have construction project and supervision experience in similar types of facilities.
3. Must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods), negotiations, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety.
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
