What Does A Grant Coordinator Do At Texas Veterans Commission

* Provides direction and leadership for all grant compliance activities.
* Facilitates with the development of a comprehensive grant compliance program to include desk reviews, technical assistance, and on-site monitoring.
* Understands and interprets federal and state grant management policies and regulations (OMB Circulars) as it applies to non-profit organizations and state and local entities.
* Oversees and coordinates overall monitoring plan and carry out planned work.
* Monitor, reviews, and evaluates compliance with grant program policies and procedures.
* Reviews the eligibility criteria of all assigned grants.
* Reviews grantees accounting systems and internal controls.
* Recommend changes to grantee fiscal process as needed.
* Examines and analyzes the internal control systems and structures and accounting records for reliability, adequacy, accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with grant regulations.
* Prepares reports of findings, outlines discrepancies, and recommends corrective actions.

What Does A Grant Coordinator Do At University of Colorado

* providing PreAward budget support; developing and running progress reports; monitoring project close-outs, reviewing monthly charges for appropriateness; overseeing funding distributions; and completing other project activities in order to support the BIPM's research mission.
* This position will also assist the Sr.
* Grants Coordinator, Principal Investigators (PIs), and the Division Administrator with the coordination and administration of research grants, contracts, and procurement policies.
* Examples of Work Performed:
* Creates budgets; writes budget justifications and supporting documentation for grant applications; and routes proposals and contract agreements through OGC.
* On behalf of faculty researchers, serves as liaison to outside funding agencies.
* Drafts subcontract agreements, reviews and edits language in accordance to OGC guidelines; and negotiates budgets with subcontractors on occasion.
* Ensures all proposed sub-awards, subcontracts and other forms of sub-agreements for assigned applications are properly documented through authorized parties.
* Provides guidance in the negotiation of grants, sub-awards and contracts; administers subsequent awards, amendments and so on when necessary.
* Works collaboratively with the Sr.
* Grants Coordinator, the PIs, and the Division Administrator to ensure an accurate, current, record keeping of all extramural research activities of faculty.
* Collaborates with OGC Accounting, subcontractors, and external agencies, regarding paying invoices, requesting no-cost extensions, establishing subcontracts, and assisting with progress reports.
* Works with the Sr.
* Coordinator in order to transfer grants and subcontracts from external entities for new faculty recruits.
* Prepares application for sponsoring agency, including the budget and technical portions of the application and all appropriate assurances for UCD approval Prepare institutional forms and coordinate process for internal approval ("routing") of application.
* Include all sponsor specific application guidelines to facilitate the review process.
* Coordinate with the PI(s) to obtain all appropriate approvals.
* Include in routing materials any additional forms and any special approvals for human subjects, lab animals, hazardous materials, biosafety agents, or cost share.
* At the time of submission, the proposal should be complete administratively and scientifically for the final review and signature.
* Communicates with OGC regarding deadlines which impact submission of materials requested by sponsoring agency.
* Reviews and interprets the sponsor's submission requirements with faculty to ensure compliance with appropriate Federal, State, Board of Regents, OGC and university policies and regulations.
* Advises faculty on PreAward submission process and electronic applications including PDF conversions, bio sketches, enrollment tables, human subjects, and resource information.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Salary and Benefits:
* The hiring salary for this position is $48,675 - $62,500 and is commensurate with skills and experience.
* This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

What Does A Grant Coordinator Do At Louisiana State University

* Serves as principal liaison between the Principal Investigators and the University for administration of departmental grants and contracts.? Serves as the primary contact with the offices of Sponsored Programs, Accounting, and Research Coordination.? Provides assistance in policy determination to Principal Investigators.? Reviews all new/renewal proposals to check budgets for accuracy and conformity to university guidelines.
* Maintains files of assigned proposals and contracts.
* Advises faculty preparing proposals of university regulations regarding overhead, benefits, budget elements. ? 5% effort: Responsible for conformity to funding agency requirements of budgets, reports & proposals to funding agencies; must be familiar with and able to act on those requirements.? Obtains LSU account numbers, receives records of grant establishment, contract modifications, and invoices from LSU Accounting Office and provides copies to Principal Investigators & the Department Chairman.? ? 5% effort: Initiates budget transfers, expenditure transfers, close outs, and monitors expenditures for compliance with grant and contract specifications, notifying the Principal Investigator if agency permission is necessary for a transaction.? Can assist PI with purchasing supplies associated with grants and contracts.
* Contacts funding agency at the Principal Investigator ' s request. ? 5% effort: Responds to requests by the Chairman and Principal Investigators concerning their grants and contracts.? Requests include obtaining information from the Office of Sponsored Programs, funding agencies and other Principal Investigators.? Helps PIs find funding sources.
* Generates specialized financial reports such as status reports, projections for close out dates, needed grants extensions, and anticipated spending requests.? ? 10% effort: Works with Chair to develop schedule of courses for all semesters, inputs course schedule into University software, and with Registrar ' s Office on course scheduling and classroom related issues.
* Knows and follows University deadlines for course scheduling.
* Works with sister departments to coordinate use of centrally schedule classrooms. ? 15% effort: Works with G&G faculty to maintain data for Program Degree Assessment (BS, ADG, MS, and PhD) and prepares DRAFT Assessment reports.
* Works with Chair to maintain data for Department Annual Report and prepares DRAFT Annual Report.? Responsible for loading all FINAL reports into TaskStream (or other University software). ? 15% effort: Prepares course and/or concentration and/or curriculum forms for needed changes (approval, revision, removal) by coordinating the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and the Graduate Curriculum Committee.
* Revises forms as needed by the College and/or University C&C committees
