The DARC program within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Technical Editor/Writer Lead to join our diverse and talented engineering organization in support of our National Defense as part of on a new ground-based radar program. Join an exciting and new program as we embark on solving complex and novel engineering challenges. As a Technical Editor/Writer lead on this new ground-based radar program you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of the hardware components deployment to the selected customer's site. The successful candidates should have strong fielding and deployment experience and be able to work collaboratively with an experienced engineering and program management team to meet our customers' needs.
Job Duties:
Write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.
Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals
Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts
Provide technical writing/editing for technical data, ensuring file configuration control, compliance with the RFP and clean final products
Conduct quality review of materials
Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; 3 years experience with a Master's Degree; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

The Position:
In support of the Development Department, the Senior Grant Specialist will be responsible for the grant lifecycle, including researching, drafting, and submitting proposals to secure funding from foundations and corporations.
