The Grants Specialist is part of the Department administrative core team and is a key individual in the successful operation of an extensive portfolio of Grants and Contracts. This position works closely and collaboratively with Department Faculty, outside collaborators and institutions, as well as other members of the Chemistry grants team on pre-and post-award activities within the Department. This includes activities such as monitoring the status of all sponsored project contracts, assisting PIs with the submission of annual reports, the generation of monthly financial reports, and assisting with forecasting, project closeouts and proposal submissions. Responsible for a wide range of duties this position is expected to attend all recommended trainings provided by both the Sponsored Programs Administration and College of Arts and Science Research Offices.

Chemistry is the intellectual home to over 250 students, post-docs, and faculty members working in a wide range of specializations, as well as the interdisciplinary fields of chemical biology, structural biology, molecular toxicology, materials chemistry, and nanotechnology.
