Summary:
The Technical Illustrator is responsible for developing and updating all product instruction manuals. The candidate will assist in overseeing relationships with print and other third-party suppliers to ensure we meet production deadlines. Interaction with various supporting departments (Purchasing, Legal, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing) requires clear and proactive communication. A meticulous attention to detail is crucial, along with the ability to create visuals that communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:

Development of product instruction manuals and updating of existing manuals
Manual content, planning and sequencing.
Development of installation and operating instructions using isometric views with insets and bubbles as needed.
Manual development for multiple languages utilizing internal and external translations resources.
The ability to assemble and evaluate products to ensure manual accuracy and completeness.
Partnering with the Purchasing Department for the evaluation and awarding of print and third-party illustrator contracts.
Managing and monitoring supplier performance related to the creation, development, and printing of Suncast manuals.
Ensuring that manuals are properly reviewed and approved, with sign-off, prior to printing.
Manual revision management including tracking active revisions, in progress revisions, archiving of manuals.
Stay informed and make recommendations on changes and trends related to product manuals.
Integrate feedback from other business units to improve manuals.
Prioritize manual creation and revisions to meet varied production deadlines.
Support and comply with safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping methods.
Ensure that manuals are compliant with product safety commission requirements and any other regulations.

Function / Position Summary
Perform a range of duties required to coordinate the management and execution of the District's more comprehensive grants such as but not limited to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) grants and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The coordination efforts should be in line with promoting U-46 learning goals, ensuring equity, and complying with federal and state regulations. 1. Pre-application

Complete and submit grant applications and amendments in ISBE Web Application Security System (IWAS).
3. Implementation
Review and approve job requisitions for grant-funded positions to ensure compatibility with budget.
Maintain an accurate list of associates who are being funded by the assigned grant.
Provide direction to Grant Specialists (if assigned) regarding grant activities such as supply ordering, budget reconciliation, and grant appropriate/approved expenditures.
Develop subrecipient contracts and ensure accuracy.
4. Monitoring
Review spending trends as expressed in monthly expenditure reports to ensure grant is being used efficiently and in compliance with state and federal regulations, including nonpublic share requirements and are approved by ISBE.
Continuously consult with school/district staff and other stakeholders to ensure assigned spending is occurring.
Amend the budget as needed.

In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the Construction Apprenticeship and Grant Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the construction trades union apprenticeship credit program and the college's grant-funded pre-apprenticeship programming. This role is responsible for preserving and strengthening Southwestern Illinois College's existing partnerships with construction trade unions, professional and trade organizations, employers, and workforce development agencies; facilitating the articulation of DOL-registered apprenticeship programs into college credit and career pathways; and coordinating all operational aspects of the college's grant-funded pre-apprenticeship programs. QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:
Four or more years of experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, or institutional giving; equivalent experience in related fields will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grant Strategy & Development

Grant Administration & Compliance
