The Senior Manager, Medical Writing oversees medical writing projects and team operations in compliance with regulations, GCP, and SOPs. This role leads cross-functional collaboration, manages team performance and hiring, resolves operational issues, and builds strong relationships to drive change and share best practices while ensuring high-quality deliverables and exceptional client service. **How you'll make an impact:** + Manage and oversee the work of small medical writing team to support clinical and regulatory submissions (e.g., clinical study reports, clinical evaluation reports) and may indirectly manage cross-functional or matrix teams as appropriate. Position Summary The Technical Writer/Editor filling this position executes a variety of procedure-related assignments for the CH-TRU organization. This includes development of technical and administrative procedures, gathering information from a variety of expert contributors, conducting hazard analysis, managing document reviews, editing non-technical documents, and collaborating with other N3B organizations to achieve CH-TRU procedure goals. This position requires creativity and flexibility to meet new challenges and the expertise to apply appropriate solutions efficiently. This position reports to the CH-TRU Director, Compliance & Integration. Essential Duties/Responsibilities (may include, but are not limited to): Writes technical procedures used for nuclear facility management and the storage, processing, and shipment of radioactive waste. Coordinates the efforts of engineers, scientists, environmental professionals, safety experts, and field technicians to create safe, compliant, and comprehensive work documents. Routes procedures through the review and approval process, including leading roundtables and executing real-time revisions, in accordance with company and DOE policy. Assists in field validations to verify that procedures can be performed as written. Edits non-technical documents, such as monthly reports, internal memos, and fillable forms. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities): Comprehensive knowledge of principles and techniques associated with technical writing, Word processing, and document production. Ability to write succinct and easily understood instruction. Ability to perform highly complex writing tasks that involve compiling information from multiple and varied sources. Ability to coordinate and lead projects that involve multiple document development scopes and span extended time periods. Familiarity with implementation of nuclear facility controls, including technical safety requirements (TSRs), criticality safety evaluations, and hazardous waste permit requirements Capable of acting as an independent contributor who is competent within the broad technical writing discipline. Capable of managing multiple document assignments simultaneously. Education and Experience Required: Level 3: Bachelors' degree combined with 6 years' relative experience. However, a combination of education and relevant experience wherein the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the position's duties and responsibilities have been adequately demonstrated is acceptable. Level 4: Bachelors' degree combined with 10 years' relative experience. Education Equivalency: 2 years of relevant experience for 1 year of college. Experience in nuclear facility operations and waste management is desired.
