Job Summary
Assesses, plans, coordinates, and evaluates the clinical and operational functions of the diagnostic cardiology department to ensure quality, cost-effective healthcare is provided by educated and competent team members. Essential Functions
Coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Ensures unit operations and team members are in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act, Respiratory Care Practice Act, regulatory agency standards, and policies and procedures as defined by CHS.
Organizes and coordinates all nursing unit functions to provide a smooth, cost-efficient operation.
Maintains responsibility for interview, selection, and supervision of cardiology team members in the department. Allocates resources to meet unit needs.
Conducts team member meetings at regular intervals to exchange information and promote dialogue.
Promotes team member development through education, performance evaluation, and identification of mutual goals that enhance continued professional growth.
Functions as a team member to accomplish goals and objectives of the unit and organization.
Performs patient care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary.
Participates with performance improvement activities to improve quality of patient care, promote patient outcomes and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.
Analyzes and utilizes data for improved clinical outcomes.

Physical Requirements
Requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 50 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Standing and walking while wearing 10 to 20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons. Potential exposure to radiation, secretions and blood. Confined work area.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors Degree required. Completion of accredited program of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary Technology, Nursing, Respiratory Care or related field preferred. If Nurse, a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state of North Carolina required. If a Respiratory Therapist, licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board required. 5 years diagnostic cardiology experience preferred. Credentials in related field (RN, RRT, etc.) required. Previous management experience required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required. ACLS preferred.

Assist in the management of hand surgery as-well-as general orthopedic injuries/conditions
Participate in the initial evaluation & treatment of in-patient orthopedic consults: obtaining history, performing physical exams, ordering and reviewing appropriate diagnostic studies and imaging, and conferring with supervising orthopedic surgeon
Perform splinting, bracing, casting, orthopedic injections/aspirations, and local wound care in the in-patient and out-patient settings
Assist in the OR as needed for elective and urgent/emergent cases
Assist the supervising physician in clinic
Manage and direct patient post-operative care in the hospital and clinical setting
Participate in the rotating APP orthopedic practice call and ED call schedule
Assist in facilitating the discharge and disposition of orthopedic in-patients
Increase orthopedic knowledge through educational opportunities and clinical experience
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. Approved to practice as a Physician Assistant. Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master?s Degree preferred. Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice. Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions. Three years of relative experience and/or surgical background preferred.

Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.

Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Requires successful completion of a formal Radiology Tech Program in an AMA approved facility, ARRT registration, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA. If a new graduate, must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.

Physical Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors Degree preferred. applicable state EMT-Paramedic required for duration of employment with Mobile Medicine. South Carolina EMT-Paramedic and National Registry required within 1 year of hire.
Certified Community Paramedic (CP-C) or other CAMTS-designated provider credentialing required within two years of hire and maintained for the duration of employment. Maintains required certifications to include ACLS, PALS, BLS, as directed by the Medical Director.
3 years full-time experience in an 9-1-1 system functioning at the paramedic level of practice in any setting over any length of time or 3 years full-time experience in a comprehensive (non-critical access) emergency department with a high-volumevisits per day

Physical Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing. BLS required per policy guidelines. Current LPN license or temporary license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current LPN license or temporary license as a Licensed Practical Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the LPN works. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.

Major Responsibilities:
Prepares, administers and documents diagnostic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under the supervision of an Authorized User.
Adheres to department radiation safety practices.

Job Summary
Includes Neonatal, critical care, emergency services and includes cardio-thoracic surgery. Patients are typically intubated on ventilators and/or have hemodynamic instability. The focus is on very invasive procedures and the hemodynamic management of very critical patients. Manages ventilator settings, vasopressors and solve complex clinical cases. Schedule consisting of night shifts for 90% or more of the time.
Essential Functions
Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
Performs a wide range of surgical and/or medical procedures.
Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
Determines treatment plan for patient.
Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested
Cardiothoracic Surgery Setting with less than 5 years CVTS experience
Manages STS Database data collection pre and post-operatively.
Performs clinic duties one day a week with assigned physician.

Physician Assistant
