Position Overview:
Carolina Core FC is an independent MLS Next Pro club based in High Point, NC. Our Graphic Design Intern will assist with CCFC's marketing initiatives and campaigns, sponsorship fulfillment, and CCFC Academy assets. In the best interest of personal and professional growth, interns will assist with creating both print & digital graphics, developing social media content, editing and/or creating reusable templates, and organizing visual content.
Job Duties:
Create visual graphics for many different mediums (print, social media, stadium video board, partnership presentations, merchandise etc.)
Organize graphic and visual content
Assist the marketing department during promotions and events
Research successful social content/graphics of other professional sports teams
Update templated graphics during CCFC matches
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop & Illustrator, InDesign a plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Portfolio including graphic design work and experience
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro a plus, but not required
Knowledge of soccer is a plus, but not required

Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position under general supervision, to perform professional graphic arts and design work for the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC) in the Office of Communications. Conceptualizes, designs, writes, and produces graphic design materials, including newsletters, brochures, logos, exhibits, and displays, PowerPoint presentations, reports, publications, and web graphics. Responsible for long-term planning, budgeting, scheduling, project management, as well as the full range of production-related duties involved. Production duties include laminating, trimming, and mounting of artwork, signage, and promotional materials. Creates stimulating visuals and presentations to educate, inform, and motivate in visual ways; to attract, entertain, and inspire HABC's many target audiences. Performance of the duties requires knowledge of traditional graphic arts principles, maintaining the latest industry trends, management experience, and excellent communication and computer skills.
All activities must support the Housing Authority of Baltimore City (“HABC” or “Authority”) mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties and skills may be required and assigned, as needed.
Advises and assists personnel of HABC in determining the most effective means of presenting various graphic arts materials, which are produced both mechanically and on digital platforms.
Responsible for designing and producing a wide variety of artwork, including logos, newsletters, brochures, booklets, posters, videos, and animation assets.
Designs and produces a wide variety of artwork for special projects under sometimes tight deadlines. These projects would include, but not be limited to, flyers, posters, banners, brochures, charts, and other display items.
Attends workshops, seminars, and training programs to keep abreast of new methods, techniques, and developments in the graphic arts field. Implements new techniques for projects such as video production, presentation/documentation of important events.
Plans, budgets, schedules, and manages projects, as well as the full range of production-related duties involved in the projects.
Provides graphic art oversight to other department staff in the absence of department leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education, Training, and/or Experience
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor's degree in graphic arts or equivalent experience. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in designing graphic materials. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered sufficient.
Must possess a valid state of Maryland driver's license and be insurable under the Authority's plan. Must be eligible for coverage under the Authority's fidelity bond. Must be available to work some evenings and weekends when necessary.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid Maryland driver's license.
Must be able to be covered under the Authority's vehicle insurance policy.
Other Requirements:
Must not engage in private real estate business.
Availability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
Successful completion of a prescreening investigation, including verification of employment history and education credentials.
A 6-month probationary period applies to this full-time permanent position.

Utilize CAD and standard illustration software to generate detailed illustrations of complicated parts and assemblies, hydraulic and electrical/electronic schematics/diagrams and civil engineering drawings. Develop DoD technical illustrations utilized in Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM). Illustrations must follow standard formats, those required by the DoD to be used in technical manuals and training materials, including S1000d, Mil-Std-40051. This role is for the Documentation and Training department. This opening is contingent on TCOM receiving US government authorization to proceed with work on a contract already awarded.
Working Procedure:
Interacting With Computers - Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information.
Use computer aided drafting and illustration software to generate illustrations
Use computers to enter, access or retrieve data, and file data
Illustration of different types of graphics used to generate detailed description, operation, and maintenance documentation for devices, assemblies, and equipment.
Utilize CAD or standard illustration software to generate detailed illustrations based on engineering CAD models or other available data to generate customized 3-D views, illustrate assemblies, create exploded views, and generate illustrated parts breakdowns
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of own work
Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Read schematics & read technical drawings
Obtain proper information for drawings from drawing systems manual, standard books, engineering reference handbooks, material and process specifications, supplier catalogs and information databases
Interpret drawings including customer and vendor drawings to obtain information relative to assignment
Adhere to DoD specifications, such as S1000D, Mil-Std-40051, or others
Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge - Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
Follow manufacturing methods or techniques
Use drafting and illustration techniques
