What you'll be doing...
· Design a wide range of creative assets on a variety of internal and external initiatives and campaigns - including social media, email campaigns, direct mail, branded merchandise, event materials, infographics, website graphics, motion graphics and more
· Be a go-to brand steward and expert in applying guidelines to various forms of internal and external communications materials and platforms
· Learn and share best practices and encourage creativity with all marketing team members, staying abreast of and applying design trends · Ensure timely reviews and approvals before distribution of assigned projects
· Initiate and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions
· Work together with team to transform ideas into actionable deliverables, assets, and cohesive campaigns
· Aid in developing brand style guides and style treatment boards for campaigns
· Source materials and coordinate production with third-party vendors for standard print projects, direct mail, large-format printing, promotional materials, apparel, promotional items, trade show booths, and event assets · Collaborate with individuals across a variety of teams to develop creative solutions for our company, partners, and clients
· Attend company events and represent the firm at industry events as needed
· Coordinate with external agencies, freelancers, or production partners as needed

· You have 3+ years of graphic design experience

· We use Monday.com (project management), WordPress (website), and Open Asset (digital asset management), so it would be fantastic if you already know those tech tools.

Location: This team member will work out of the Kansas City, MO office located in the River Market district. Other office locations would be considered. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION
Provide graphic design and additional artistic services to support the operations of the Marketing Department focusing on logos, packaging, web design, printing, sales, photography, video, and legal compliance.

Delegate print and web design projects and provide direction to other Marketing team members

Product Packaging
Conceptualize, design, and execute packaging for Splintek's products
Visit retail stores to research trends in package structure, content, and design to stay competitive in the category
Collaborate with our International customers to translate their verbiage on our packages and design their packages within the limitations of their country
Collaborate with printing vendors and thermoforming vendors to construct cartons and plastic clamshells for product packaging
Collaborate with the Chemistry department to ensure product packaging provides an adequate shelf life
Possess an understanding of Splintek's automated packaging machines and design packaging to function correctly and efficiently (carton erector, rotary heat sealer)
Locate and hire 3rd party packaging companies and define their scope of work
Generate original barcodes for Splintek's products using company software
Conceptualize, design, and execute product instruction sheets, brochures, coupons, sales sheets, tags, logos, envelopes, business cards, letterhead, etc.
Design point-of-purchase displays for retail spaces (shipper floor display, counter display)
Design signage and décor for the tradeshow booth

Job Duties (Essential Functions)
Produces high-quality materials that uphold or progress the Library's working brand standards.
Contribute to visual strategy and brand consistency across projects, departments, and media. Research, develop and execute viable design concepts that cost-effectively fit the criteria of the message and the medium. Participate in all phases of visual problem solving and production.
Develop and produce design projects, including print and digital graphics, brochures, postcards, flyers, signage, advertising campaigns, fundraising materials, collections and exhibits support, merchandise, and program and event materials.
Serves as a member of a Public Affairs Team that works in a fast-paced environment, juggling numerous projects at any given time.
Works with marketing and communications team to develop creative assets in support of the Library's marketing and communications efforts, including but not limited to signs, social media graphics, print and digital ads, direct mail pieces, website graphics, videos, email graphics, and other digital assets as needed.
Works closely with the Public Affairs team to develop solutions to the Library's marketing needs, offering strategic guidance for promotional efforts.
