As a Graphic Designer, you will conceptualize, design, write and produce graphic design material, including but not limited to newsletters brochures, logos, exhibits, and displays, PowerPoint presentations, reports, publications and web graphics. You will also perform production-related duties which includes laminating, trimming and mounting of artwork, signage, and promotional materials. Graphic Designer Responsibilities: Through strong visual communications design, work with the Communications team to promote the services, programs, and initiatives; assist with building a family of communication materials that support a consistent and recognizable visual look. Designs and produces a wide variety of design and visual communication materials to brand the agency's products, initiatives and services. These creative materials would include but not be limited to flyers, eblasts, posters, banners, brochures, logos, newsletters, postcards, booklets, billboard displays, apparel, vehicle and workspace projects, environmental design, trade show signage, charts and other promotional and display items. Ensure brand protocol and identity guidelines are followed. Assist with updating the style guide and websites. Works with the Communications team to select and edit photos for communications and marketing campaigns as needed. Works with communications staff, other departments, and web master to ensure that information is accurate and up to date on websites. Graphic Designer Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or a related field. 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in designing and producing visual communications and graphic materials using design software. The technical knowledge to deliver complete and error free art files to production vendors. Proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud design software, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Flash.     The Technical Illustrator I lays out and draws illustrations for reproduction in reference works, brochures and technical manuals dealing with assemblies, installation, operation, maintenance, spare parts and the repair of components, tools and equipment Responsibilities * Assists the Technical Documentation and Publication department with preparing drawings from blueprints, designs, electronic prints and mockups, photo-prints by methods and techniques suited to specified reproduction process for final use such as schematics, perspectives, orthographic, or oblique-angle (3D) views in order to depict function, relationship, and assembly sequence of parts and assemblies such as gears, engines, instruments and other mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies. * Shades-in or colors drawings to emphasize details or to eliminate undesired backgrounds, using drafting and illustration software, and to paste instructions and comments in position on illustrations. * Prepares drawings from AutoCAD prints, engineering models, designs, blueprints, mockups, and photo prints. * Inserts and arrange instructions and comments in position on drawing. * Creates 3D illustrations from in-house drawings & vendor/supplier drawings. * Works with vendor/supplier to obtain information needed to create isometric drawing and convey technical information and parts break-down in publications. * Consults with technical team leads, Engineer Technicians, Service Technicians and other subject matter experts to ensure common understanding of publications and related materials to be produced and to understand and present technical materials and parameters of technical content and the presentation of such content. * Assists in maintaining cataloging systems, records, files, electronic media and archiving of information for publications for business references. * Assists in preparing material for technical seminars and business forums. * Assists in maintaining content changes and updates to publications. Competencies * Associate's degree (A.A.S.) in communications, publications, graphics and two years of practical experience or a Technical degree from an accredited institution in a related field with at least four years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Knowledge of drafting tools or Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) or drafting equipment, 3D illustration, and Photoshop software. * Ability to use Microsoft Office. * Knowledge of BaaN system as it relates to truck Bill of Material (BOM) structure and inventory control. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals. * Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra, probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. * Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Expected to travel nationally and internationally up to 20% to customer or supplier sites. * Ability to obtain and maintain mine certifications or safety training such as Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) hazard training. * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport.
