The conceptual design of the converter including the submodules architecture and components specifications has been already developed. GE Vernova is looking to develop the hardware assembly, design the internal supporting structure, and design a pressurized gas-insulated container to host the overall internal assembly. In this project, the intern will evaluate different options to organize the internal layout of the converter. The intern will develop the packaging of the submodule valves, design the mechanical support system and take into consideration the insulation system for the appropriate operating voltage.
