Position Summary
CTE is seeking a Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist to create high-quality visual content and support the organization's communications and marketing initiatives, producing digital and print materials that strengthen CTE's brand and highlight our leadership in advancing clean and innovative transportation technologies.
The Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist will also support broader communications efforts, assisting the Director of Communications with social media management, event planning, and other marketing initiatives as needed. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative expertise, technical proficiency, and marketing insight to help ensure consistent, engaging, and mission-aligned communications across the organization.
Position Responsibilities
Create high-quality graphics and illustrations to promote CTE's brand across digital platforms, including social media, the website, blogs, email campaigns, and digital ads.
Design and manage organizational publications, including annual reports, brochures, one-pagers, and other print materials. Oversee the full production process-from layout and revisions to pre-press, vendor coordination, shipping, and inventory-while making strategic decisions about materials and formats to maximize sustainability and ROI.
Support events with comprehensive print and digital collateral, including promotional materials, email communications, environmental signage, wayfinding, registration materials, speaker support, and sponsorship campaigns. Oversee production and assembly to ensure high-quality, accessible, and cohesive event branding.
Design and polish presentation decks for conferences, webinars, stakeholder meetings, and other speaking engagements.
Manage and update website content, and design and build landing pages for events, campaigns, and special initiatives using Webflow.
Create branded HTML emails for announcements, invitations, newsletters, and other outbound communications.
Provide design support to project teams, including creating data visualizations, charts, diagrams, and technical graphics that communicate complex information clearly.
Update and maintain internal brand assets, such as style guides, icons, templates, and branded document layouts.
Monitor marketing trends and peer organization activities to help ensure CTE stays current with industry best practices in communications, digital media, and design.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related field-or equivalent professional experience
2-4 years of professional experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or a similar creative communications role
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Experience creating digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns, and print materials
Strong understanding of branding principles and ability to apply consistent visual identity across platforms
Excellent communication, creativity, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

You will work independently or with the team of Engineers, Technicians and component suppliers to design, build and operate machines.
Design automation equipment and machines from concept through implementation. The design for machine building will include 3D associative solid models, detail drawings, weldment drawings and assemblies, 2D and 3D electrical drawings.
Accurately develop solid models of completely assembled products and detail parts including bill of materials (BOM).
Develop and maintain all 3D CAD drawings and work instructions.
Work proactively with Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineers to ensure timely scheduling, production, cost savings and continuous improvement processes.
You will be responsible for independently evaluating, selecting and applying standard mechanical design techniques, procedures and criteria in solving technical problems pertaining to machine design and/or development, manufacturability, product quality and test or systems compatibility.
Support manufacturing and assembly teams from a design and specifications role.
Responsibilities
Draft solid models and prints based on the design drawing or rough drafted products. Ensure all components of the product are itemized while ensuring cost efficiency.
Attend and assist at all rough mock-ups and first construction sessions of machines, and verify the equipment is built according to print and make any revisions as necessary.
Troubleshoot equipment design or engineering for problems and recommend solutions.
Manage major project implementation by creating timelines for both manufactured and purchased components for new automation machines and equipment; including implementation of automation cells with multiple robots.
Draw all 2D electrical schematics as well as 3D electrical design using 2D and 3D software with the assistance of the Automation Engineers and Technicians.
Perform robotic simulations when required in design using simulation software.
Frequently interact with employees and operations management.
Attend and actively participate in Product Development, Software, Assembly, Fab, Design, Programming and Quality meetings to provide basic information and/or detailed procedural explanations or technical responses to improve engineering and manufacturing processes and products.
Complete engineering special projects including product improvement initiatives, product testing and assisting with standardizing engineering and manufacturing procedures, components, tooling, etc.
Stay current with engineering concepts, participate in training on new releases of software, manufacturing techniques and quality concepts; train other individuals and departments in the same.
Enter all machine drawings, electrical schematics, BOM's into Machine manuals with the correct labeling as well as backed up in the correct locations.

As a Production Artist, my main job is to create and prepare graphic files for printing or digital display. This role is responsible for designing overhead and underground fiber optic facilities using the latest fiber management systems. Perform detailed engineering tasks, including planning, designing, estimating labor and materials for fiber optic networks.
Apply strong knowledge of outside plant (OSP) fiber optics systems.
Interpret and apply company standards, engineering codes, and procedures.
Utilize fiber design software and systems to track work activities, inventory, cost analysis, and documentation.
Support emergency restoration for OSP fiber infrastructure, including storm damage, power failures, and other events.
Create and maintain fiber splice diagrams, network layouts, and mapping system records.
Design fiber layouts for subdivisions, MDUs (multi-dwelling units), and commercial properties.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in CAD or related field (highly preferred).
