Job Summary:
Detail-oriented and collaborative professional with hands-on experience in production specifications and printing plate file creation for both Flexographic (Flexo) and Lithographic (Litho) processes. Skilled in assembling complete Shop Orders, generating barcode and database files, and ensuring accuracy across all production stages. Known for strong communication, teamwork, and the flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Holds a bachelor's degree with a solid foundation in print workflows and production support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create electronic designs for specimen collection devices and convenience pack components, ensuring correct ink, paper, graphics, serialization, and compliance with regulatory design controls.
Complete Production Specification Sheets.
Prepare printing plate files and image/process Flexo and Litho printing plates.
Assemble Production Job Jackets (Shop Orders) with all required materials.
Develop barcode programs and related numbering database files.
Collaborate with the Design Manager, Sr. Graphic Designer, and Sales Representatives to produce customer-specific device specifications.

What Will You Do?
You will work independently or with the team of Engineers, Technicians and component suppliers to design, build and operate machines.
Design automation equipment and machines from concept through implementation. The design for machine building will include 3D associative solid models, detail drawings, weldment drawings and assemblies, 2D and 3D electrical drawings.
Accurately develop solid models of completely assembled products and detail parts including bill of materials (BOM).
Develop and maintain all 3D CAD drawings and work instructions.
Work proactively with Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineers to ensure timely scheduling, production, cost savings and continuous improvement processes.
You will be responsible for independently evaluating, selecting and applying standard mechanical design techniques, procedures and criteria in solving technical problems pertaining to machine design and/or development, manufacturability, product quality and test or systems compatibility.
Support manufacturing and assembly teams from a design and specifications role.
Responsibilities
Draft solid models and prints based on the design drawing or rough drafted products. Ensure all components of the product are itemized while ensuring cost efficiency.
Attend and assist at all rough mock-ups and first construction sessions of machines, and verify the equipment is built according to print and make any revisions as necessary.
Troubleshoot equipment design or engineering for problems and recommend solutions.
Manage major project implementation by creating timelines for both manufactured and purchased components for new automation machines and equipment; including implementation of automation cells with multiple robots.
Draw all 2D electrical schematics as well as 3D electrical design using 2D and 3D software with the assistance of the Automation Engineers and Technicians.
Perform robotic simulations when required in design using simulation software.
Frequently interact with employees and operations management.
Attend and actively participate in Product Development, Software, Assembly, Fab, Design, Programming and Quality meetings to provide basic information and/or detailed procedural explanations or technical responses to improve engineering and manufacturing processes and products.

Physical Conditions:
Physical and marginal functions require the ability to maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, which may include the following: standing, walking or sitting for extended periods, moderate lifting and carrying, general manual dexterity, operating assigned equipment, and extended exposure to computer screens.
The employee must maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, reading and writing, operating assigned equipment, communicating with others, and handling varied tasks simultaneously.
Additionally, the employee must maintain mental capacity, which permits making sound decisions and using good judgment, and demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Scheduling Conditions:
This is a full-time, 12-month position, which requires the employee to be on campus or at an approved alternate location for at least thirty-six hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm. This position generally works daytime hours but has the potential for occasional evening or weekend hours.
Traveling Conditions:
Local travel between the Caldwell campus, Watauga campus, or any off-campus sites may be needed. Out-of-state travel is limited but may be required for training and conferences.
Experience:
Three years of full-time increasingly responsible experience in graphic design, marketing, advertising; and/or project management is required. Five years' full-time experience preferred.
Training:
An associate degree from accredited college or university with major course work in graphics or commercial design or other related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Designs, lays out and produces various publications and artwork for divisional projects such as slide presentations, newsletters, signs, flyers, brochures, directories, maps, posters, billboards, logos, exhibits/displays and illustrations. Utilizes a personal computer with various desktop publishing programs to create and produce finished artwork for ProSidian internal and external deliverables, combining text and graphic elements. Prints to a laser printer for camera ready art and to create digital files to send to an outside printer for imaging to film.
Uses scanner to scan slides and photographic prints, and an image editing program to refine and color correct or paint full color photographs, duotones and grayscale images.
Prepares color separations for maps or graphics and various other visual aids for divisional presentations.
Designs and assembles exhibits and displays such as information signs, and photo displays.
Designs and executes logos/symbols for special projects, letterheads, and business cards used in various departments.
Creates precise art illustrations using scans of traditional drawings, digital drawing skills or by modifying existing digital art files.
Creates illustrations, posters and overlays as visual aids for divisional presentations and for special presentations by other employees.
Prepares slide presentations to correspond with written materials.
Consults with printers regarding technical quality requirements and printing deadlines to ensure that artwork is produced correctly and on time.
Performs general upkeep duties involved with the computer equipment, such as changing the toner and photo-cell unit and cleaning the printer as needed.
Compiles and archives digital files, including image files and page layout files. Provides videotaping services for programs/units within the division.
Takes photographs of special events as needed; prepares, corrects and mats photographs when necessary.
