Qualifications: Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of graphic design experience, specifically within the beauty industry. Digital Expertise: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), as well as other design tools relevant to digital content creation. Experience creating GIFs, motion graphics, and other digital animations. Strong understanding of digital platforms and the specific design requirements for web, social media, and email marketing. Position Overview Chicago Cosmetic Surgery & Dermatology is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to support our growing marketing team. This role will work closely with our Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to bring creative concepts to life visually across three distinct but connected brands: Chicago Cosmetic Surgery & Dermatology, Skin Science, and The Skin Spa. The ideal candidate has a strong design foundation, a refined aesthetic, and the ability to execute polished visuals that align with brand standards in the medical aesthetics space. This role is hands-on and execution-focused, with opportunities to contribute creatively across digital, social, and marketing channels. A digital portfolio submission is required for consideration. How You Will Make an Impact Translate marketing concepts and brand strategies into high-quality visual assets across all three brands Design, develop, and edit graphics for digital marketing campaigns, social media, email, websites, and internal materials Support brand consistency while adapting creative assets to fit different brand identities and audiences Collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to meet campaign goals and deadlines Elevate the visual presence of our practices by producing clean, modern, and patient-focused design work Assist with photography and video editing to support content creation and promotional initiatives Performance Requirements Create and edit visual assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere Pro or similar a plus) Execute strong design layouts with attention to typography, color, spacing, and composition Edit and optimize photography and video content for digital use Maintain organized design files and adhere to established brand guidelines Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards Communicate effectively with marketing team members and incorporate feedback efficiently Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output Education Requirements Bachelor's degree (4-year)in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field Required Experience 1-2 years minimum of experience as a graphic designer, either independently, in-house, or within an agency setting Intermediate proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite Canva Microsoft 365(Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Ability to present a digital portfolio demonstrating design skills, layout, and visual storytelling Preferred Experience Experience in healthcare, aesthetics, dermatology, cosmetic surgery, or wellness environments Familiarity with designing for multiple brands within a shared organization Experience supporting marketing or content teams Exposure to or experience working within a Managed Services Organization (MSO) Basic knowledge of social media content formatting and digital marketing design best practices ADA SPECIFICATIONS (Physical demands that must be met in order to successfully complete the essential functions of the job) Requires ability to speak audibly and listen actively.     We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable postdoctoral researcher to join the Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) project FREEZE (Fundamental Research on Energy-Efficient Zonal Extraction), jointly led by the Chemical Sciences and Engineering (CSE) and Applied Materials (AMD) Divisions at Argonne National Laboratory. This project focuses on understanding the evolution of structure and chemistry at charged solid-liquid interfaces during liquid-solid phase transformations under controlled temperature gradients. The successful candidate will be a creative experimentalist who can design and build custom, non-commercial apparatus compatible with synchrotron scattering and imaging techniques at the Advanced Photon Source. Candidates with prior experience in developing operando electrochemical cells and/or temperature-controlled experimental platforms are strongly preferred. The appointee will also support related efforts in materials synthesis (e.g., atomic layer deposition) and materials characterization (e.g., atomic force microscopy). Key responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, and disseminating results through presentations at scientific conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals. Beyond the primary research scope, the appointee will have opportunities to contribute to related projects in geochemistry, materials synthesis, and separation processes. Position Requirements * Recent or soon-to-be-completed PhD (typically within the last 0-5 years) in chemistry, geochemistry, chemical engineering, physics, materials science, or a related discipline * Background and/or interest in one or more of the following areas: critical elements and materials, electrical double layer theory and applications, solid-liquid phase transitions and energetics, mineral processing, and separations * Significant experience in the development of operando experimental apparatus * Experience with synchrotron-based characterization techniques and analysis of large, multimodal datasets * Experience in materials synthesis and materials characterization * Strong foundation in general analytical methods and laboratory practices * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Demonstrated creativity and a proactive approach to scientific problem solving * Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team * Flexibility to engage across multiple projects, research topics, and applications * Ability to model Argonne's core values of impact, safety, respect, integrity, and teamwork * Ability to maintain a full-time, on-site presence at Argonne National Laboratory's Lemont, Illinois campus (five days per week) Job Family Postdoctoral Job Profile Postdoctoral Appointee Worker Type Long-Term (Fixed Term) Time Type Full time The expected hiring range for this position is $70,758.00-$117,925.00.
