Essential responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Create show key art and logos for each production that work across print and digital.
· Design and produce all show deliverables including posters, postcards, print ads, outdoor graphics, lobby signage, web graphics, ticketing graphics, email headers, social assets, and display ads.
· Design and produce the playbill for each show including layout and typography, ad placement and specs, cast and crew pages, donor lists, proofing, press ready files, and coordination with the printer.
· Build and maintain templates for recurring needs including social posts, web banners, sponsor recognition, slide decks, and lobby monitors.
· Develop creative for institutional and campaign work including fundraising, membership, education, and special events.
· Maintain brand standards across color, type, imagery, and logo use. Ensure accessibility and readability including alt text and contrast.
· Manage art files and the asset library. Organize photos, logos, and templates. Name, package, and deliver files for print and digital.
· Coordinate with vendors and partners. Route proofs and manage timelines and budgets for print and installation.
· Support quick turn needs including playbill inserts, lobby screens, signage, and website image updates.
Qualities of successful candidates:
· Education. Bachelor's degree in graphic design preferred or related field experience.
· Experience. Two or more years in graphic design. Performing arts or nonprofit experience is a plus.
· Digital Savvy. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Working knowledge of Canva, Google Suite - knowledge of Wix or website planning and creation a plus.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
When a Design Consultant is unavailable, professionally greet customers to establish rapport, offer assistance including limited design-related consultation and sales transactions such as take-with and direct ship accent sales, including wrapping and packaging client purchases, as well as limited furniture sales under the direction of unit management.
Assist Design Consultants (as assigned by management) with project development, including attending home calls, preparing space plans, product selection, preparing quotes, creating sketches and renderings, setting up and dismantling presentations, preparing custom soft goods quotes, offering assistance and hospitality during presentations, and assisting clients when their requested Design Consultant is unavailable.
Educate customers about the complimentary design service Ethan Allen provides, offering as little or as much design service as a customer desires.
Stay current on design and color trends to create fashionable design solutions.
Utilizing the rotation system, introduce qualified prospects to Design Consultants via in-person introduction or "set up" by describing DC's skills and referring customer to their online bio/portfolio; or by scheduling in-studio appointments and/or in-home consultations for Design Consultants (whether DC is present or not)
Enter orders and quotes utilizing the retail point of sale system.
Communicate with clients regarding appointments and order status via telephone & email.
Participate as required in all corporate sponsored marketing and training programs.
Educate customers on all the Ethan Allen sponsored finance options available to them.
Utilize corporate systems and technology to maximize efficiency in designing projects, creating presentations, and providing professional service for customers.

Order memo fabric swatches for design consultant's clients and distribute to Design Consultants when they arrive.

Additional Responsibilities that may be required depending on location:
Ensure all cash transactions, including charge cards and bank deposits, are reconciled, properly deposited, and accurately recorded in the ledger. Process blind cash balancing and exceptions. Maintain Petty Cash. Perform clerical duties required for daily function of business. Run end of day reports, checks for signatures and other audit requirements.
Follow-up on clerical orders, delayed orders as necessary to insure timely and appropriate service to staff members and clients.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design or related field from an accredited institution.
Experience: Previous internship or experience with a professional design firm or design-retail organization. Minimum two (2) years' experience in retail sales preferred.
Other Requirements: Strong sales & organizational skills. Ability to work with others. Positive attitude, stylish professional appearance, and high energy with a desire to learn the business. Works under general direction to produce complex computer generated illustrations and artwork for technical manuals; performs a wide variety of advanced illustration functions including complex graphics, both in an electronic format and traditional board format.Produces complex illustrations to include perspective, isometric, and orthographic projections from blueprints, sketches, photographs, hardware, and oral/written descriptions that meet quality, technical accuracy, format, production standards, military standards and specifications, and customer requirements.
Develops and produces exploded view illustrations of assemblies in proper sequence of assembly or disassembly using drawings and computer generated CAD files.
Prepares format drawings, layouts, charts, and modification drawings; sizes artwork and photographs for final page layout.
Works with Engineering and Logistics Documentation to identify “no-fit” and other technical data package drawing deficiencies.
Creates graphic art using various software packages as well as traditional board methods for proposals and other special projects.
May participate in customer validation/verification reviews.
Contacts within Engineering and occasional contacts in shop to obtain drawings or parts for illustrative examples. Ability to operate a digital camera for obtaining reference material when drawings are unavailable.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Develop detailed technical drawings and illustrations from engineering data, CAD models, and technical specifications.
Strong illustrating background and able to create 2D illustrations from 3D models, photos, engineering documents, and other source data.
Collaborate with engineers, product designers, and technical writers to understand requirements and translate them into visual content.
Ensure consistency with standards, customer specifications, and visual identity across all technical materials.
Create exploded views, assembly drawings, cutaway views, and schematics.
Optimize illustrations for various formats, including print, digital, and web-based platforms.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Review, analyze, and determine the impact of customer comments and redlines, and help the team determine actions to resolve comments and follow through with management and/or customers.
Strong communication skills are required to interface with technical writers regarding requirements for illustrations.
Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and self-motivated.
Must be able to learn new software tools quickly.
Contribute to continuous improvement objectives to achieve delivery and quality goals.
Track the status of graphic requests.
Participate in quality checking through analysis of source data, writer redlines, and customer specifications.

Required Qualifications:
2 or 4-year degree/or equivalent experience.
3+ years' experience in developing technical illustrations for commercial or military programs (SVG, CGM, etc.).
Experience as a Technical Illustrator, Graphic Designer, or a similar role.
Portfolio showcasing technical illustration work.
Proficiency in illustration and design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Solid understanding of engineering drawings and 3D modeling principles.
Familiar with S1000D specification.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
