Position Description
Prepare calculations based on project requirements
Create 3D models and produce shop, assembly, and erection drawings
Analyze, design, and select appropriate steel member connections for projects
Provide checks of drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents
Submit requests for information (RFI's) to customers
Work closely with Project Managers and Structural Engineers
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical) required
Knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metals preferred
Knowledge of current building codes and regulations preferred
Ability to read and interpret drawings and contract specifications preferred
Manage multiple projects at once
Analytical and problem solving skills
Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills

Exhibits detailed knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Standards and can apply it to many varied situations. Performs as expert user of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) system with considerable experience in Top Down design work for complex 3D engineering models and components. May provide document maintenance and have responsibility for placement and routing of electronic circuits. May create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication drawings, plan PCB projects and create electronic schematic diagrams. Provides modeling leadership and counsel to other employees.
Qualifications
Strong 3D modeling experience using Creo software is required. Experience modeling complex castings is required.
Experience with iron castings is preferred.
Experience with complex drivetrain modeling is preferred.
Manager is willing to see candidates with working castings experience versus a degree.
Prefers candidates with more than 1 year work experience using Creo.

Job Description
As an I&C Designer at Olsson, you will support the development of high-quality engineering solutions for data center projects. You'll assist in preparing instrumentation and controls design documents, collaborate with engineers and other disciplines, and help ensure designs meet project requirements and safety standards.

Installation Details
Instrument Location Plans
Wiring Diagrams and Loop Diagrams
Develop control systems (DCS/PLC) data sheets and design documents:
I/O Lists
Process Control Narratives
Graphic Sketches
Cause & Effect Diagrams
Alarm Rationalization
Coordinate with third-party control system vendors and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Develop and review P&IDs for various projects.
Select and size I&C components such as valves, thermowells, orifice plates, and relief valves.
Collaborate across disciplines to develop level sketches and ensure design integration.
Review vendor documentation and provide technical recommendations.
Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
Ensure compliance with company and project site safety policies.
