**Job Summary**
The Onward Robotics Solutions Design team thrives on discovering, deeply understanding, and sophisticatedly solving our client's fulfillment and distribution challenges. The team is growing and looking to find an exceptional candidate to take on the Solution Designer position.
As a Solution Designer, you will influence both internally and externally by bringing the voice of the client to every conversation. Additionally, you will provide our clients with top-tier robotics consulting to support them as they evaluate automation initiatives. The primary objective of the Solution Designer role is to observe, analyze, and recommend solutions with the Onward Robotics products to our clients. You will closely partner with Account Executives to define the clients' goals, build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, and define the business value of the Onward solution. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design of the systems, equipment, and processes that help deliver the intended business outcomes to our clients. You will oversee the efforts of the Solution Design Analyst team as they build representative simulation models based on your designs. You will masterfully present the recommendations and supporting analytics to our clients at all levels of their organization.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in material handling robotics both to clients and to internal Onward Robotics technical teams
* Partnering with Enterprise Account Executives on client engagements to support sizing, definition, and technical qualification of opportunities
* Creating compelling solutions for clients that drive their decision to select Onward Robotics offerings and services by demonstrating the ability to achieve their desired outcomes
* Defining simulation models that help clients envision Onward Robotics solutions in their operations as well as help them de-risk decisions through scenario analysis
* Manage the simulation modeling project by clearly defining processes, operational profiles, and traffic patterns of client operations to the Solution Design Analysts for execution
* Supporting clients in re-engineering their current processes to realize the full potential of Onward Robotics solutions as needed
* Support the delivery of the technical solution by partnering with Implementation Engineering and Client Success Managers to translate technical specifications into an installation plan.

**Minimum Experience Requirements:**
* Minimum 5 years of experience in customer facing solution design or consulting roles
* 3+ years of experience in designing manual or automated material handling processes within Fulfillment and Distribution operations
* Extensive experience in translating technical concepts into comprehensive client facing documents such as responses to client RFPs, sales proposals, installation specifications, and client presentations.
* Proficiency in analyzing complex operations and subsequently building representative models to make an informed recommendation
* Understand and apply the use of operational and financial metrics to drive business decisions
* Demonstrated ability to lead a complex and cross functional project
* Advanced understanding of working with WMS, WES, or WCS platforms and ability to document system workflows and API integration requirements
