REQUIREMENTS:

Strong physical production skills, specifically hand trimming with a knife and mounting medium-to-large-format prints.

Utilize a staging environment for web building, thoroughly testing site functionality, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and accessibility before pushing to the live environment.
Own the process of maintaining blogs for weekly and seasonal podcasts while working with Audiochuck's production team.
Implement best practices in responsive design, accessibility, SEO, and site performance optimization.
Monitor and analyze website performance metrics to identify opportunities to improve user experience and conversions.
Implement analytics tools to track user engagement and performance metrics.
What You Will Bring to the Table
Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of professional experience as a Web Designer, with a strong focus on marketing websites.
Expert-level knowledge of WordPress and proven experience building sites using Divi Builder.
Strong portfolio showcasing modern, high-converting web design work (preferably marketing or audience-growth focused).
Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, mobile-first design, responsive web development, and accessibility standards.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for implementing custom styling when needed.
Familiarity with building design systems.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of web hosting, domains, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience designing for media or podcast brands.
Knowledge of conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies and tools (A/B testing, heatmaps, etc.).

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Indianapolis, Indiana or New York, NY.
The base salary for this role is between $85,000 and $90,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

The Packaging Designer I will be a critical member of the Shorr sales organization and further establish Shorr as a value-added supplier to our customers. In this role, you will conceptualize and create custom corrugated designs as well as support Sales, Design Lead and Design Team by cutting samples, creating CAPE Reports and providing overall Design support.
Responsibilities
Designs simple corrugated designs for Sales
Designs samples using Artios CAD software and creates samples on our state-of-the-art Kongsberg design table
Cuts samples from Design Lead and other Shorr Design centers
Prepares palletization and other miscellaneous reports utilizing CAPE software.
Prepares drawings and written instructions to be used for estimating purposes
Prepares and designs samples of corrugated packaging for customers by establishing dimension from actual items or other information provided
Assists customers to develop new and innovative concepts for packaging
Interact and collaborate with designers in other Shorr locations
Orders and maintains all design room supplies

Requirements
Associates degree related to CAD or mechanical drafting/design or equivalent related experience required.
Experience using AutoCAD or Artios CAD software required.
Knowledge of point-of-purchase (POP) and industrial corrugated packaging experience preferred
Knowledge of ASTM, TAPPI and ISTA standards desired
