The Graphic Designer of Catalog will support the Creative Team in translating art direction into effective and highly creative photo driven layouts for seasonal catalogs and additional consumer and internal facing projects. You will use your passion for elevated design, photography, and Photoshop to create beautiful layouts, and to reimagine interior spaces. You bring a passion for brainstorming and collaborating on projects in a team-based atmosphere and the proven ability to own designs from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Creating multiple catalog layout solutions that explore different expressions of elevated Typesetting and photographic compositions, to present options for final layout selection.
Photoshopping images to align photography with the Creative Director's vision for art direction.
Support the Creative Director's vision by creating mood boards including gathering inspiration for interior design direction, photo art direction, floral direction, layout direction, color direction, furniture direction, location direction, and set direction.
Preparing presentations for catalog concept reviews and catalog pagination reviews.
Manage multiple design projects, and other design deliverables simultaneously.
Participate in design reviews with a range of stakeholders across the organization.
Drive design projects through all creative phases, from concept, to photoshoot planning, to design reviews, to passing off final files.
Responsible for presenting your work to the team, routing files for approval, and releasing organized files to production partners when approved.
Maintain accountability for overall quality of creative work.
Partner with Marketing leads to explore designs that elevate the brand and excite customers.
Experience/Requirements
Creative portfolio showing your superior understanding of Photoshop with multiple visual examples of different Photoshop techniques.
Graphic design portfolio demonstrating photo driven layouts and print-based design solutions with an elevated aesthetic.
Exceptional creative concepting ability, as evidenced by a diverse portfolio of graphic design projects.
Eye for visual storytelling with elevated photography, typesetting and graphic design.
Experience ensuring designs translate to printed pieces.
Organized and able to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently through ambiguity.
Experience creating photo driven designs and maintaining consistent typographic standards.
Strong project management skills as an individual contributor and the ability to influence others as a project leader.
Able to work well in cross-functional teams.
Excellent presentation, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as a strong customer service mentality, and ability to build and maintain relationships.
Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups, prototypes, and style guides.
Fluent in English, with excellent communication, presentation, and social skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate design concepts appropriately to different audiences in varying levels of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Design, or other relevant field.
Fluent in Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Passion for Interior design, creative drawing and painting with examples of your work is a plus.

Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Graphic Designer helps raise Case Western Reserve's stature as a leading national research university by serving as a creator of visual materials across multiple digital and print vehicles. This individual will excel in developing compelling visual approaches that help inform, educate and inspire constituencies within and well beyond the campus. The graphic designer will produce these works in close collaboration with project managers, editors, and others to ensure that all university projects comply with brand requirements, achieve the highest standards for design and visual presentation, and meet the goals of the individual piece(s). This individual also will employ exceptional interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with University Marketing and Communications (UMC) colleagues, university clients and commercial suppliers. This individual will demonstrate a passion for design excellence and willingness to stretch creatively to produce works that are as appealing as they are effective. The graphic designer will possess strong strategic and critical thinking skills, and apply them in engagement with clients and colleagues, brainstorming of concepts, execution, revision and final delivery of results. Finally, this individual will keep current regarding evolving and emerging trends in visual communication as well as relevant technological advances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Design visually compelling digital and print materials, adhering to strict brand guidelines. Collaborate in the development of such materials with the Art Director, Creative Director and colleagues. Develop designs that advance articulated institutional goals, recognizing that individual artistic or aesthetic preferences must always be secondary. (40%)
* Manage assigned projects to ensure timely completion of work that reflects well on the division and university; including recognition of potential and/or unexpected hurdles (as well as options to overcome them and adjust schedules in response). Execute the logistical and technological demands of preparing materials for online presentation (i.e. online ads and publications), as well as file preparation for printers. (30%)
* Communicate strategy, its rationale and its components to raise awareness within and beyond UMC staff regarding the importance of including visual elements in all communications. (10%)
* Build, maintain and organize creative files, server structures and execute filing solutions. (10%)
NONESSENTIAL FUNCITONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience; OR Associate's degree and 5 years of experience. Experience should involve content-driven design and storytelling.

* Ability to work with such Adobe Creative Suite programs as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as evident execution of their current capabilities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Marketing and Graphic Design Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Wingspan Care Groups' marketing, communications, and brand initiatives. This role combines strong graphic design skills with marketing coordination responsibilities to ensure the consistent, creative, and effective presentation of the organization across all platforms. The Coordinator produces high-quality visual content, supports marketing campaigns, and assists in managing the organization's digital presence. Further, the Coordinator designs expertise, a strong creative eye, and proficiency in producing visually compelling materials across print and digital platforms.
This position works closely with the Division Director to ensure the successful achievement of Division goals as well as with the members of Wingspan Care Group. Additionally, this position collaborates closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to manage and facilitate aspects of the Wingspan Care Group's external relations program, internal communications activities, and activities related to brand management. Moreover, this position also provides administrative support to the Development Division, including activities related to special events, fund raising and general administrative duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Graphic Design & Branding
Create visually compelling graphics, layouts, and materials for print and digital use (brochures, flyers, social media graphics, presentations, reports, signage, etc.).
Maintain and apply brand standards across all design projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop concepts and translate ideas into professional visual assets.
Produce graphics optimized for web, social media, email, and multimedia platforms.
Manage and organize digital assets, templates, and brand files.
Marketing & Communications
Assist with the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
Draft and edit content for newsletters, social media, website updates, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
Coordinate project timelines, gather necessary materials, and ensure deliverables meet quality and brand standards.
Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Specialist to support the management of social media by creating content, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement.
Support the ongoing maintenance and updating of agency websites.

General
As needed, provide support and back up to Development Division colleagues.
