Primary Purpose:

The key responsibilities of the role are:
Responsible for creating apparel graphics for our licensed sports business and for the build-out of master art files, inclusive of licensing sheet which includes size based on specs, decoration for building of materials (BOM), call-outs on full-size art, appropriate branding, and the addition of copyrights (& rules) as needed.
Creation of non-calendared special art request graphic concepts
Local trend shopping, reference, and research and development for multiple apparel embellishment techniques, including screen print, heat transfers, and appliques, embroidery, etc.
Application of Intermediate-level typography skills for font research, development, and implementation in apparel graphics
Maintain an active understanding of trends in sports apparel and sports/pop culture, consumer insights, new business opportunities, and competitors in the market to influence design aesthetics and strategy through the development of mood, trend, and ideation boards.

About the Role

What You'll Do
Research global markets in order to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspiration.
Develop concepts and sketches for product line and advocate for design ideas by presenting to internal leadership and cross functional partners.
Develop strong internal cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical design, Gap Inc Sourcing (GIS), Visual Merchandising and Marketing to ensure product concept to store and site execution is a seamless customer experience
Influence strategy for product area, providing recommendations regarding seasonal themes and edits to line, ensuring product meets business and customer needs.
Partner with Production and Tech Design to create tech packs and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution, quality, and desired margin targets are achieved.
Build cross functional partnerships and consensus, identifying sketch callouts and communicating desired fit and aesthetic to cross functional team.
Responsible for fabric and trim selection.

Salary Range: $85,600 - $113,500 USD
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and design high-quality still, motion, and gif assets for the brand website, email, social, paid media, catalog, OOH, and other marketing channels.
- Collaborate with VP of Marketing, Ecomm + Creative Services team to translate the seasonal marketing calendar into monthly, weekly and daily visual stories across all touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain design systems, creative briefs, guidelines, toolkits, and graphic treatments, ensuring consistency across all digital and physical touchpoints. - Build weekly email marketing messages, from graphic assets to the templates in ESP, using an understanding of best practices, industry comps and brand guidelines and selling data.
- Partner closely with the Ecomm team to conceptualize and create a compelling customer journey and user experience across all layers of the brand website. - Creatively ideate new designs, layouts, templates for campaign newsletters, launch emails, and organic/paid social.
- Support with print production and liaise with external vendors to ensure the quality and accuracy of print deliverables.
- Perform ad hoc retouching, editing, and color-correcting where necessary to ensure all visuals meet brand standards and product accuracy.

- Stay current on emerging trends in advertising, digital design, publications, brand launches, creative agency output, and 360 marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of hands-on graphic design experience
- Expert in design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
- Proficient in Klaviyo (or similar ESP), Premier Pro, After Effects, Frame.io, and/or other video editing software
