Job Description
The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall provide support to facilitate oral and written communications requirements for the Client with other Government elements, foreign partners, the private sector, and the public. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall support the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products that may include finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, speeches, digital interactive products, graphics, presentations, booklets, mobile products, and impermanent/permanent web content for the Client and its directorates, centers, oversight offices, and offices. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall assist and collaborate in developing communications standards, guidelines, and processes; streamlining and improving communications standards; reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of communications initiatives; and composing, coordinating, and consolidating recurring reports and work products. The Graphic Designer / Content Developer shall work with the Government to ensure all communication support activities are consistent with Section 508 accessibility standards.

Job purpose
We are seeking a skilled Graphic Artist to support the creation, design, and production of visually compelling digital and print materials. The Graphic Artist will work with a team responsible for developing and producing creative solutions in support of multi-channel branding initiatives at C&F Enterprises, Inc. This role is an integral part of the marketing department, contributing to projects requiring design, layout, and graphic components. The ideal candidate is creative, technically strong, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. They excel at transforming concepts into effective visual communications that align with brand strategy and resonate with target audiences. The Graphic Artist will promote and implement the company's core values and excellence in customer service and is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with internal customers.
Duties and responsibilities
Creative Design & Visual Communication
Conceptualize and develop high-quality visual communications that effectively convey key messages in an aesthetically engaging manner.
Design a wide range of materials, including but not limited to:
Web pages and digital content
Brochures, flyers, catalogs, catalog covers, postcards, and sales materials
Logos, brand assets, signage, and large-format printed materials
Presentation templates, advertisements, books, and annual reports
Produce original illustrations, graphics, and imagery or integrate existing assets to align with project tone, theme, and branding.
Catalog Design & Production
Support layout, design, and production of up to 12 catalogs annually. Individually responsible for up to 6 catalogs yearly.
Utilize EasyCatalog and Adobe InDesign in layout and product information integration.
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all catalog-related materials.
Collaborate with the marketing teams through all phases of catalog production.
Digital Content Design
Design digital assets including: email layouts, web layouts, social media graphics, and campaign visuals.
Utilize HTML coding for email and web projects as needed.
Photography
Ability to edit photos taken in our in-house studio.
Ability to manipulate images through editing software and AI tools.
Brand & Identity Development
Maintain and enhance brand consistency across all communication channels.
Contribute to Logo creation, font selection, color palette development, and brand standard creation as needed.
Technology Integration & AI Tools
Learn, implement, and optimize workflows using AI-driven and otherwise creative tools to enhance productivity and design quality, to include design, layout, image generation, and content production.
Use project management tools (Asana) to track progress and deliverables.
Technical Execution
Select appropriate typography, layout styles, and graphic elements to enhance readability and visual appeal.
Create materials using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related tools).
Produce draft concepts for client review and implement revisions based on feedback.
Review final deliverables for accuracy and ensure adherence to brand and technical specifications.
Communicate with printers, publishers, and external vendors regarding technical requirements, file preparation, and production standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and divisions.
Maintain organized file systems, naming conventions, and archive processes

Responsibilities
* Assists the Technical Documentation and Publication department with preparing drawings from blueprints, designs, electronic prints and mockups, photo-prints by methods and techniques suited to specified reproduction process for final use such as schematics, perspectives, orthographic, or oblique-angle (3D) views in order to depict function, relationship, and assembly sequence of parts and assemblies such as gears, engines, instruments and other mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies.
* Shades-in or colors drawings to emphasize details or to eliminate undesired backgrounds, using drafting and illustration software, and to paste instructions and comments in position on illustrations.
* Prepares drawings from AutoCAD prints, engineering models, designs, blueprints, mockups, and photo prints.
* Inserts and arrange instructions and comments in position on drawing.
* Creates 3D illustrations from in-house drawings & vendor/supplier drawings.

Competencies
* Associate's degree (A.A.S.) in communications, publications, graphics and two years of practical experience or a Technical degree from an accredited institution in a related field with at least four years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Knowledge of drafting tools or Computer-Assisted Design (CAD) or drafting equipment, 3D illustration, and Photoshop software.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of BaaN system as it relates to truck Bill of Material (BOM) structure and inventory control.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure manuals.
