The Des Moines Menace is looking for a highly motivated individual interested in being a part of the United Soccer League team in Des Moines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, the ability to multitask, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude, focusing on leading the development and execution of video and photo content for the Des Moines Menace. In this role, you will work in a creative space for a popular sports organization that operates in an exciting, professional environment. This is a paid, part-time spring and summer position.
Responsibilities
Design eye-catching materials that promote the Des Moines Menace with printed materials, digital graphics, and video content for social media, broadcast, in-venue entertainment, and communications.
Collaborate, plan, and executive compelling content that fulfills branding goals, marketing plans, and sponsor activation.
Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots/projects.
Stay on top of trends within the video, sports social media, and motion graphics/animations industries.
Update and maintain asset management and multimedia databases.
Work Menace home matches in May - August. This includes full-day dedication to game day set up, servicing fans, and post-game tear down.
Cover club activities including but not limited to matches, training sessions, press conferences, player appearances and events. As available, assist with pre-season events such as Open Cup and youth programs. Assist with other in-season events such as summer camps, player appearances, and community events.
Maintain confidentiality for sensitive club information.
Other projects and duties as directed by Menace Soccer Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or working towards a degree, in Media Production, Film, Photography, TV is preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of video editing and shooting experience is preferred, with the ability to provide a portfolio of previous work.
Experience with content management systems.
Show proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and the Creative Suite.
Display a high level of competency in all areas of video production, including lighting, sound, motion graphics, color correction, and publishing.
Ability to be detail oriented, problem solve, and communicate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines.
Strong communication and writing skills.

We are seeking a creative and motivated graphic design intern to assist our marketing team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, branding, and visual communication within a dynamic events environment. This internship also allows you to build a diverse portfolio with real-world projects for a major venue, network with industry professionals in entertainment, sports, and event management, and receive mentorship and guidance from experienced marketing teams.
This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00
This position will remain open until November 7, 2025.
Responsibilities
Design eye-catching promotional materials such as posters, banners, flyers, and digital graphics for a variety of events, subjects, and styles for both Casey's Center and the Iowa Events Center
Create engaging social media graphics and digital content to promote upcoming events and initiatives.
Collaborate with staff to brainstorm and execute creative concepts that align with event themes and branding standards.
Ensure all designs are consistent with the venues' branding and visual identity.
Assist in developing visual branding assets for various events and campaigns.
Assist in capturing engaging behind the scenes content day of events
Must be able to keep information confidential
Qualifications
College student majoring in Graphic Design or a related field of study
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior
Working knowledge of programs including but not limited to the Adobe Creative Cloud
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
The ability to design animations such as GIFs or short movie clips
Knowledge and experience with DSLR or iPhone photography/videography
Maturity to know when to post on your personal accounts vs. work accounts
Strong attention to detail, a ‘can-do' attitude, and a desire to learn
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must have reliable transportation
