Among graphic designers, we discovered that 48.0% of them are women, while 47.6% are men. The most common race/ethnicity among graphic designers is White, which makes up 75.0% of all graphic designers. Comparatively, there are 10.3% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 8.3% of the Asian ethnicity. The majority of graphic designers are located in NY, New York and CA, Los Angeles.

Graphic designers are more likely to work at private companies in comparison to public companies. Taking it a step further, graphic designers are more likely to find a job in the media industry. Looking at graphic designer statistics, we found was that Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, California and New York are where graphic designers find the highest salaries.

From where do we know all information about graphic designer demographics? We analyzed 120,919 graphic designers resumes to find out what the average demographics are for the job position. Just to be clear, by demographics we mean the study of population-based factors like age, race, and sex. On top of scouring through resumes, we also took note of job proposals from employers and Census Bureau data. And guess what? We found some pretty interesting information.
