Occupational Summary: The Graphic Designer at Beloit College will lead design and creative services activity for the college, generating high-quality work to support the college's academic mission, enrollment, and fundraising efforts. In addition to producing on-brand digital and print on behalf of the college and campus clients, additional projects include designing Beloit College Magazine, creating digital graphics for the web and social media, and templates for email newsletters and other marketing pieces. The designer will also oversee the college's licensed products.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
* Serve as college's lead designer and creative, tackling a wide variety of projects and challenges for clients across campus.
* Set and enforce the college's brand standards, seeking to portray the college's quality through visuals that strongly connect with brand messaging.
* Work principally with clients in enrollment, advancement, and the President's Office to design creative, visually appealing digital and print pieces for internal and external audiences.
* Provide design guidance to C&M colleagues and student staff where needed to fulfill the college's photography, videography, and illustration needs.
* Oversee the college's photographic library and manage digital assets so they are accessible to internal clients
* Work with Chief Communications and Marketing Officer and others to regularly evaluate and design campus banners and signage.
* Oversee the college's licensing efforts (through appropriate vendors) and approve artwork for retail items bearing Beloit College's licensed marks.
* With the College Editor, regularly evaluate printing and product options for campus clients, seeking new, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious options.
* Coordinate efforts to track client satisfaction as well as project/product outcomes.
Other Duties:
* Lead creative meetings internally and with campus clients (and in partnership with account leads, where they exist).
* Utilize available resources as required to meet deadlines and delivery dates, while monitoring budget parameters.
* Prepare final art to required standards and back-up and save all resources in keeping with the college's archival policies.
Credentials and Experience:
* Undergraduate degree in art or communications, preferably in design, strongly preferred.
* Five to seven years of professional design experience required, with particular emphasis in digital execution, along with talent in print design.
* Art and photo direction experience.
* Experience working with diverse populations preferred; willingness to work with diverse populations.
* Experience planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with frequent interruptions.

APTIM is looking for a motivated and experienced Graphic Designer/Creative Asset Lead to join our growing APTIM marketing team to support a variety of Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Programs. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for supporting programs with print and digital projects (e.g., brochures, emails, etc.), strategy sessions, brainstorms, and creative planning. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for the day-to-day process associated with reviewing program collateral, ensuring deadlines are met, obtaining approvals on all creative assets, ensuring that assets are delivered or approved on time, and communicating updates to stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Ensure marketing materials comply with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and accessibility standards.
+ Design creative marketing materials and visual concepts using graphic design tools.
+ Stay updated with design trends and technologies to keep creative assets current.
+ Meets with internal staff, stakeholders, and partners to discuss project requirements and designs.
+ Review program collateral to ensure adherence to brand standards. Complete QA/QC checklist before sending for client review.
+ Develop and manage marketing initiatives including website development & updates, e-newsletters, and email campaigns.
+ Oversee the collaborative revision and approval process and managing project timelines from inception to completion.
+ Manage the Wrike review process for timely creative asset reviews.
+ Ensure proper approval routing and record/save final deliverables.
+ Source and manage library of approved images.
+ Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and broader organization.
+ All other related duties as assigned.
+ Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree, preferably in graphic design, communications, journalism, or marketing from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
+ 3+ years of experience graphic design, writing and copy editing at a professional level.
+ Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects and design skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, marketing automation tools, and social media applications.
+ Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines effectively.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and project obstacles.
+ Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to manage competing priorities with established deadlines.
+ Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
+ Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
**Desired/Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 1+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred.
+ Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions including, lighting, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
+ Relevant certifications in graphic design, digital marketing, or project management.
+ Proficient in WordPress or other website content managements systems.
+ Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
