What it is going to take.
Strategy
Strategize cross-functionally with product, sales, and marketing to pitch and develop disruptive visual communication concepts of physical and digital products.
Ideate brand ideas and strategies to design solutions that are relevant to consumers, culture, and that satisfy business objectives.
Perform competitive market research to identify verbal and visual opportunities, current consumer trends, and themes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with channel sales leaders to uncover challenges and to improve visual communication strategies across all mediums.
Day-to-Day
Partner with product teams and channel sales leaders to advise and design various marketing materials such as sales tools and collateral, assets used for various traditional and digital mediums, product packaging, etc.
Collaborate with designers and copywriters to bring assets from concept to timely delivery.
Update and enforce design systems and visual guides used for product teams and partners.

Job Description:
Roger Williams University is seeking an energetic designer to build the RWU brand identity. The University Senior Graphic Designer reports to the Creative Director and is responsible for creating original graphic designs and comprehensive layout concepts for a diverse range of print, digital, and multimedia materials, ensuring brand consistency across all university touchpoints.
The ideal candidate will be an independent professional who contributes positively to a team and manages projects to a high level design standard. This position is on campus during the academic year with flexibility between semesters.
Essential Functions/Characteristics
* Conceptualize, plan, design, and produce high-level graphic materials across print and digital platforms.
* Develop and maintain brand consistency across all university marketing and communications, from campaign visuals to marketing materials and templates.
* Lead complex, multi-faceted design projects, managing production schedules, analyzing costs, and developing workflows for concurrent projects.
