    WEDU PBS is looking for a creative designer to create our monthly member magazine, as well as create station promotions, marketing materials, events, and graphics and collateral for print, digital, and broadcast. REPORTS TO: WEDU Creative Services Project Manager JOB TYPE: Full-Time (Salary Exempt) POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the graphic design, layout, editorial content, and editing of our monthly Premiere Magazine publication, within established guidelines, timeframes and quality standards, and providing press quality design files to professional printing vendor. Responsible for the timely production of graphics and visual materials for station promotions, print and digital ads, programming, events, and collateral materials across all departments of the organization, maintaining a consistent station brand and messaging. Interface regularly with the Vice President of Communications, Creative Services Project Manager, and Communications Specialist to ensure a consistent look and tone across all mediums. Must be able to effectively manage time/multiple projects and stay on schedule to meet deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with station event-related activities and projects. This will include attending/working occasional evening and weekend events as required. Maintain professionalism and excellent internal and external communications, both verbally and in writing. Maintain compliance with WEDU's safety, security, drug free and confidentiality programs to secure a safe working environment and protect the company's intellectual property. QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE): Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related creative field. Minimum of two years' professional experience in creative design (agency or in-house). Must have portfolio (physical or digital/online) demonstrating high level skill in professional branding, typography, layout design, color theory, and image editing/manipulation, across print and digital mediums. DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Master knowledge of Adobe CC software including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. This is not a Canva job! Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email and digital platforms such as Mailchimp, Issuu, and Basecamp. Must have artistic capacity, flexibility, and strong verbal, visual and written communication skills. Willingness and ability to quickly learn new techniques, applications, platforms, and processes.
