Made Possible.** **PRINTING PRESS OPERATOR JOB SUMMARY:** To lead the press crew in the everyday operation of the press, to ensure that we get make-readies and runs in the most efficient manner possible to achieve top quality production. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives. **Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:** **JOB FUNCTIONS:** _Job functions include but are not limited to the following:_ + Setup and adjust press + Troubleshoot and correct quality/machine problems + Review job bag to ensure proper specifications + Direct crews to stay on task + Control color to proper delta E + Ability to use densitometer + Perform PM and minor repairs + Work with Printing Manager to suggest potential improvements (productivity, process & quality) + Ensure necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality of specifications of the work + Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully + Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools. + Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools. + Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press. + Primary point man for maintenance of the press. + Performs other duties as required to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company. **BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:** + Prior experience in a similar Press Operator role required + Manufacturing experience preferred + Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts preferred + To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
