The Quality Engineer for our Kenton, OH plant will:
* Provide leadership for Continuous Improvement initiatives for the facility, including use of Problem Solving and Lean Manufacturing tools and methods.
* Identify Continuous Improvement needs, determine scope of each effort/project, assure execution, and conduct effectiveness reviews in coordination with Department Managers.
* Train / coach salaried and hourly employees on Problem solving tools (ex: Control Charts, Histograms, Root Cause Analysis, Kepner Tregoe).
* Lead facility efforts to reduce spoilage, including tracking, data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
* Work with departments to identify, develop, execute, and maintain results of cost reduction initiatives.
* Communicate Best Practices within the facility and externally within GPI.
* Manage process for trials (internal and external requests) in coordination with QA Department, including approval of requests and final reports. Perform Design of Experiments (DOE).
Required Skills & Experience:
* 3-5 Years manufacturing experience
* Professional problem solving experience ie Kepner Tregoe, Six Sigma, Fishbone.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for talented and highly motivated engineers to join The Air Force Fighter & Strike Sustainment Engineering team in Hazelwood, MO as a Sustainment Engineer supporting the F-15IA and EX platforms. These unique positions will support the F-15 EX program as the fleet continues to rapidly grow and expand to new operating locations and will also be responsible for supporting the F-15IA new build effort as it progresses through design, production, and fielding, ensuring that sustainment concepts and interests are appropriately represented. It will require technical interface with BDS engineering counterparts, Program Management, Suppliers, and the customer.
This challenging position is critical to the long term success of the F-15 fleet and provides the unique opportunity to interface with virtually every area of the F-15 Eagle. Position Responsibilities:
Represent BGS engineering and Product Support element interests in meetings and design discussions to ensure BGS impacts are captured during F-15IA development
Provide technical support to the F-15EX in-service aircraft in troubleshooting aircraft issues, developing repairs, coordinating with suppliers and integrating across multiple functions
Research, Author, and Coordinate Advisory Memos, Change Documents (CD), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) in support of fleet issue corrections, repairs, and product improvement redesigns
Perform timely root cause corrective action (RCCA) for engineering issues to improve fleet availability and first time quality of future part purchases
Provide technical input to work products including SOW and proposal development, change incorporation, and obsolescence
Ensure the technical correctness of solutions being offered and implemented
Support obsolescence issues and represent F-15 sustainment interests in planning
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
2+ years of experience in an engineering role
Experience assembling and leading cross-functional teams

Work with key mechanical, reliability maintenance, and engineering personnel to support daily and monthly scheduled maintenance outages and annual outage jobs within the field of process control engineering.
Some crossover activities to the electrical/mechanical maintenance programs will be required to deliver complete programs for all types of equipment.
Work with maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete maintenance and capital projects.
Provide management and programming support including: necessary programming, training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation, and updates for the maintenance/engineering personnel as needed.
Supports the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.

* Develop and update existing headcount analysis tools (direct and indirect labor) in order to analyze the impact of changes on business, and prepare summary reports for and in support of Operations, IT and Business Process Improvement initiatives.
* Prepare engineering studies to ensure that continuously changing operational processes are reflected in operational and strategic calculations.
* Measure standard time to proactively challenge and support the realization of reductions in standard time, while always striving to eliminate waste.
* Serve as the main point of contact for capacity, process improvement tasks, and standard time inquiries.
* Work closely with Operations, Account Management, Facilities and Project Management teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the requirements of the business.
* Manage the engineering function for assigned projects and activities including; engineering budget, processes, equipment, work standards and facilities.
* Make informed recommendations and decisions related to the purchase or lease of capital equipment including; forklifts, tooling, lift assists, generators, compressed air systems, racking, scrubbers, compactors, and miscellaneous items pertaining to specific projects.

Your Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations Research or related fields with very strong background in engineering redesign and cost savings initiatives.
* Experience in solutions design within a logistics/warehousing/manufacturing facility environment
* Experience in supporting warehousing contracts with engineering expertise.
* Experience in packaging and/or innovation.
* Highly developed computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required. Knowledge of Excel should include pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas. Must be proficient in Access, with thorough knowledge of relational database creation, queries, forms, reports, macros, and functions.
* Hands on experience with supply chain applications such as WMS, TMS, OMS, and SCM.
