Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and managing a manufacturing value stream from printing through finishing to achieve operating goals and objectives consistent with the Perry plant and division objectives. The Operations Manager directs the safe manufacture of products through the value stream at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications, quality, quantity and delivery. This role is viewed as key development to a future Plant Manager role and so openness to relocate is preferred.
Key Position Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following:
Strategic Initiatives - EBITDA and Cash Targets
* Improve productivity and decrease waste through the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
* Increase labor efficiency and utilization, including staffing and overtime
* Optimize inventory turns and reduce aged board inventory to meet cash targets
Growth Initiatives - Annual revenue
* Execute Voice of Customer initiatives at the facility level
* Achieve on-time delivery targets
* Drive successful onboarding of new and transfer business
* Ensure that customer specifications are consistently met or exceeded
Operational Effectiveness
* Meet or exceed standards for environmental, safety, working conditions and cleanliness through daily oversight and direction of management team
* Develop and implement processes and procedures to continually improve quality and reduce customer complaints
* Direct management team to ensure productivity targets are monitored and achieved across all facility assets
* Ensure the value stream assets are appropriately maintained through planning and implementation of maintenance programs and procedures, including preventative maintenance and reliability programs.
* Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume
* Manage value stream maintenance budget within parameters
* Provide support and coordination on facility capital projects
Organizational Effectiveness
* Drive and implement high performance management practices, including Lean Sigma, daily management processes and other related programs.
* Partner with HR function to hire, train and evaluate team members. Assess performance and take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal, state and local employment regulations.
* Establish group and individual accountabilities through annual goal planning and performance reviews.
* Develop talent through assignments, job rotations, promotions to build bench strength and succession planning
* Drive and support high performance culture employee involvement initiatives and practices. Build and maintain a productive and engaged relationship with hourly associates.
Background/Experience:
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
* 5 years or more of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* A minimum of 2 years management experience required.
Educations/Knowledge:
* Bachelor's Degree required
* General knowledge of converting technologies is required.
* Excellent technical trouble shooting skills.
* Good organization/project management skills.
* Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay Range: $114,825.00 - $153,100.00

JOB SUMMARY:

General Purpose

The Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Engineer is an entry-level position designed to introduce new employees with technical degrees to the world of paperboard manufacturing. Previous experience in paperboard manufacturing is not required-you will be trained on everything you need to know! The ME Engineer will work in a collaborative, team environment focused on deliberate improvement projects in the areas of cost reduction, quality, reliability, and productivity. Working with the ME Manager and Reliability Manager, ~60% of the ME Engineer's time will be supporting an operating department (Paper, Fiber, Power, etc) and delivering results on projects aligned with the department's improvement plan. The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer will be a key resource for the site-wide work systems transformation initiative. Using the latest digital tools, ~20% of the time the ME Engineer will engage frontline workers to understand department workflows and create innovative solutions to improve communication and problem-solving. While working on improvement projects, the ME Engineer will also spend ~20% of the time on personal growth and development. Technical training on the paper manufacturing process, reliability fundamentals, lean manufacturing, and advanced analytics using data Parc, minitab, and others will be offered. Mission Summary
Graphic Packaging International (GPI) is seeking an experienced Operations Technology Engineer to support and implement Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in alignment with GPI policies and standards. This role will collaborate with Process Control, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Audit, Governance, and Mills Division leadership to enhance operational performance, capability, and cybersecurity posture across manufacturing facilities. The position provides leadership for local mill sites, ensures policy consistency across the division, and serves as a technical lead for corporate initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Support IT/OT convergence and manage full lifecycle of OT/ICS equipment.
* Implement ICS standards per corporate policy; coordinate with Infrastructure teams.
* Lead local manufacturing audit activities and incident response efforts.
* Collaborate with Audit, Governance, and Cyber teams to ensure compliance and security.
* Lead Incident Response Team in coordination with GPI Security and Cyber Response teams
* Manage DCS/QCS implementations and warranty support for ICS systems.
* Translate business requirements into system specifications; prioritize enhancements.
* Oversee mill IT projects, budgets, and vendor coordination.
* Maintain documentation, training, and adherence to change control and security policies.
* Coordinate with Process Control to manage and maintain warranty support for all local Industrial Control Systems and mill specific applications.
* Provide leadership in mill management meetings and cross-functional coordination.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
* 5+ years in OT systems support, ICS integration, and manufacturing process control.
* Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs, HMIs, safety systems, and industrial networking.
* Familiarity with ICS protocols (OPC, HART, Profinet, Fieldbus) and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA 62443, Purdue ISA95).
Skills:
* Project leadership, analytical problem-solving, and strong communication.
* Ability to manage complex deployments, documentation, and training.
* Experience with network layouts, servers, switches, and firewall configurations.

With limited supervision from the R&D Director, the R&D Manager is responsible for managing analytic labs, supporting technical services at mills and converters, and leading coating development, and product development initiatives from concept through commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
* Manages coating development projects, which are primarily involved in reducing the cost of coatings. **Mission Summary**
Graphic Packaging International (GPI) is seeking an experienced Operations Technology Engineer to support and implement Industrial Control Systems (ICS) in alignment with GPI policies and standards. This role will collaborate with Process Control, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Audit, Governance, and Mills Division leadership to enhance operational performance, capability, and cybersecurity posture across manufacturing facilities. The position provides leadership for local mill sites, ensures policy consistency across the division, and serves as a technical lead for corporate initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Support IT/OT convergence and manage full lifecycle of OT/ICS equipment.
+ Implement ICS standards per corporate policy; coordinate with Infrastructure teams.
+ Lead local manufacturing audit activities and incident response efforts.
+ Collaborate with Audit, Governance, and Cyber teams to ensure compliance and security.
+ Lead Incident Response Team in coordination with GPI Security and Cyber Response teams
+ Manage DCS/QCS implementations and warranty support for ICS systems.
+ Translate business requirements into system specifications; prioritize enhancements.
+ Oversee mill IT projects, budgets, and vendor coordination.
+ Maintain documentation, training, and adherence to change control and security policies.
+ Coordinate with Process Control to manage and maintain warranty support for all local Industrial Control Systems and mill specific applications.

**Qualifications**
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
+ 5+ years in OT systems support, ICS integration, and manufacturing process control.
+ Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs, HMIs, safety systems, and industrial networking.
+ Familiarity with ICS protocols (OPC, HART, Profinet, Fieldbus) and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISA 62443, Purdue ISA95).
Skills:

Position Title: Technician, Plate Making

The Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Engineer is an entry-level position designed to introduce new employees with technical degrees to the world of paperboard manufacturing. Previous experience in paperboard manufacturing is not required-you will be trained on everything you need to know! The ME Engineer will work in a collaborative, team environment focused on deliberate improvement projects in the areas of cost reduction, quality, reliability, and productivity. Working with the ME Manager and Reliability Manager, ~60% of the ME Engineer's time will be supporting an operating department (Paper, Fiber, Power, etc) and delivering results on projects aligned with the department's improvement plan. The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer will be a key resource for the site-wide work systems transformation initiative. Using the latest digital tools, ~20% of the time the ME Engineer will engage frontline workers to understand department workflows and create innovative solutions to improve communication and problem-solving. While working on improvement projects, the ME Engineer will also spend ~20% of the time on personal growth and development. Technical training on the paper manufacturing process, reliability fundamentals, lean manufacturing, and advanced analytics using data Parc, minitab, and others will be offered. **Summary:**
The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing and managing a manufacturing value stream from printing through finishing to achieve operating goals and objectives consistent with the Perry plant and division objectives. The Operations Manager directs the safe manufacture of products through the value stream at the lowest cost consistent with established specifications, quality, quantity and delivery.This role is viewed as key development to a future Plant Manager role and so openness to relocate is preferred.
