Freelance Production Artist
Our client is seeking a talented Graphic Designer/Production Designer to join our creative team. This newly created role will be an important part of the team charged with creating the brand's Store of the Future experience. This person will work closely with Director of Graphic Production and the Innovation Team to create visually impactful artwork that tells the story of the brand in-store. The ideal candidate should: Have a strong understanding of image selection, copy layout, and design principles. Be an innovative thinker who considers themselves a strong visual storyteller. Be informed and extremely passionate about the new wave of in-store/ brick-and-mortar retail experience and the role of 2D creative in the store journey. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with 3D merchandising designer and creative leads on all Innovation projects, ensuring a clear and cohesive visual narrative. This includes image selection for storytelling, cropping, copy layouts, and occasional image mockups for photo retouching. Create production-ready artwork and mechanicals, including but not limited to lightboxes, on-counter display artwork, window displays, signage, and logo placement. Create visual merchandising guidelines for all Innovation initiatives. Partner with Creative Operations to manage responsibilities within timelines and meet deadlines. Support brand strategy, look, and feel. Provide competitive landscape recaps highlighting disruptive and interesting creative to inspire and inform future concepting of innovation projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field. 3+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably in visual merchandising.
