Develop, update and monitor job progress using QMS program, including scheduling, estimating and budgeting to ensure that construction of project parallels with schedule. Perform quantity take off(s), cost estimates and bid solicitation. Provide research options and regulation information as required. Purchase and coordinate the delivery of certain materials for the project(s) ensuring optimum prices, quality and conformance to specifications and budget. Reviews and approves invoices and change orders. Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors for specific trades ensuring that all scope is encompassed. Review vendor and subcontractor shop drawing submittals for construction as directed by the supervisor. Relocate to specific job sites (if required) in order to become familiar with procurement and construction practices. Attend weekly job site meetings. Assist in the preparation of various reports to assist in the successful management of the project(s), such as: monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings and status reports. Assist in the organization and maintenance of job files to ensure continuity of work flow. Submit verbal and written reports on project status to supervisor. Communicate effectively with customer, direct consultants and subcontractors on the project(s). Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray's safety program on site. Responsibilities Through coordination with the Project Manager, Site Manager, Site Quality Manager, and MEP Group Manager, the Manager, Energy Marshall Program directs activities and coordinates the day-to-day Energization program and procedures for the company, starting at project start up to full completion. Analyze current energization processes to identify areas for improvement. Manage daily activities of the Energy Marshal program for all supporting markets through both processes and people. Ensure adequate staffing on all projects and markets through the following: Hiring of new team members Providing direction for staffing of current and upcoming projects Counseling sheets and PIP as needed for team members Updating staffing software utilized by Gray, to ensure utilization rates are within in the guidelines. Ensures implementation of the created energizing plans at the job site level through management of onsite personnel. Train team members in the use of the energization/ Energy Marshal program and support question resolution pertaining to the program. Ensure the energization program provides a fair and effective monitoring of the overall organization on a regular and timely basis. Accumulate data from the energization program at the site level to report continuous improvement measures to prevent repetitive lessons learned within their respective markets and across all markets to share learnings to the company. Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure that energization plans are in place and report findings to the QMS Director. Develop relationships with internal and external clients including owners, business partners, manufacturers reaps and third parties. Ensure all Energy Marshals have the required NFPA 70E on Electrical Safety Related Work Practices. Assign and train competent Energy Marshals as needed to support project and campus needs. Ensure all Teams are trained on LOTO and ensure trainings and records are being maintained and easily accessible for customer reference. Ownership over the energization process for Gray Construction which includes updating on an annual or sooner basis. These processes my not be owned by the Energy Marshal Program manager but will be their responsibility to ensure the following is reviewed annually at a minimum: LOTO Energization process FOD inspection process Tamper Seal Program Any other energization process that falls within Gray Construction May be required to temporarily monitor projects while others are away from the job and help to provide coverage on jobsites from time to time. Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with industry and company standards. About the Role The Data Center Sales Engineer will develop estimation tools and manage cost estimates for projects using Tate products, as well as for new products through prototyping and manufacturing analysis. This role coordinates closely with the sales team and external customers to clarify design requirements, create product solutions, develop initial bills of material with cost data, and communicate the overall scope of work to sales representatives. What You'll Do Facilitate communication among sales teams, clients, and engineers to ensure clear understanding of specifications, budgets, and deadlines. Evaluate construction drawings and specifications to recommend products that meet project requirements. Interpret project needs from Sales Managers and communicate feasibility, lead times, and challenges. Create quotes for new designs and maintain design history throughout the quoting process. Provide application engineering support for existing and future products targeting the Mission Critical/Data Center space and containment solutions. Stay updated on trends, technologies, materials, and best practices to improve product lines and production efficiency. Identify trends in Data Center design and guide R&D in developing new products to meet market needs. Attend Data Center trade shows and conferences. Additional Expectations Collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout all project phases. Continuously improve knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry standards. Be flexible at attending industry events and occasional travel as required. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with at least 2 years of experience. 0-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience reading construction documents and estimating preferred. General knowledge of server technology and associated hardware required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams). Skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Revit are a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform quoting, understand manufacturing processes, conduct time studies, and analyze trends. The individual will work with other business systems analysts and the supported team to improve system(s) use and business operations. This team member works closely with the team to interpret the data and develop solutions and processes that provide value for the business. Collaborates with leadership and the supported team to identify system improvements and enhancements, and requirements; recommend and implement solutions. Gathers and defines business requirements and process improvements. Manages project development operations in the system of record (Azure DevOps) and engages with stakeholders on project milestones. Assists with building dashboards in Business Intelligence environment regarding various operations metrics. Compiles data reports, summaries and logs for the supported team. Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to system users. Fosters a working relationship with vendor(s) and works with vendor system support to resolve questions and issues. Maintains permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for system users. Trains new and existing users of the systems; create/maintain users manuals to support training efforts. Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements to protect team member data. Researches and participates in the software community to resolve issues where answers are unknown and implement solutions. Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in software providers, vendors, and technology. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Who we want… (Requirements) BS/BA in Computer Science, Business, Project Management, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Sales, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 8 years business systems analyst experience Technical project management and team coordination experience Technically savvy with an understanding of database concepts, functional software setups, cybersecurity, and business processes Must be well organized, efficient, results and detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as a member of a team Strong people skills; ability to interact and collaborate with all levels across the organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent in writing effective documentation including but not limited to requirements, process flow maps, and use cases Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously Effective change management skills, analytical skills & process orientation Must have ability to educate their coworkers, have patience and the capability to support end-users Previous experience training end-users in the use of applications and processes is preferred Agile/Scrum experience preferred The new team member should be an energetic, self-motivated individual who enjoys a team environment, as well as a passion for collaboration and professional development.
