Assist the Production Supervisors in training of the associates for line operation and monitoring what the associates will be required to complete as part of the process controls. Systematically check all variables to insure the best possible balance of quality and quantity under specific prevailing conditions. Supervise the adhesive spray, vacuum forming, and injection molding process to ensure proper controls are being maintained. Schedule routine and preventative equipment maintenance to have the least adverse effect on production schedules. Analyze operations for possible improvements in methods, procedures, or design. Recommend such improvements to the ME. Run all Design of Experiments (DOEs) and launch samples. Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager/supervisor. Requirements: High School Graduate or equivalent. Area of study: emphasis on mathematics, and mechanical or similar. 3-5 minimum years of experience completing mold changes. 1-3 minimum years of experience as plastic process technician. 3-5 minimum years of experience within the automotive industry. Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. This will be a full-time position responsible for various Construction Materials Testing, Special Inspections and/or Foundations tasks. Addition job responsibilities may include Performs routine field and/or laboratory tests Responsible for the field compaction testing, sampling and observation of soils, stone and asphalt, utilizing nuclear density gauges or drive tube methods. Performs concrete, grout, and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, performing slump tests and collecting compressive and flexural strength. Sampling of asphalt cores to verify thickness Perform hand augers with dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) testing to collect data of subsurface conditions for foundations, roadways and other surfaces Daily communication with site contractors, other technicians and project managers Complete accurate and detailed field testing reports and/or diagrams It is preferred that candidates are familiar with performing field activities such as field density testing (Shelby tube and sand cone), material quantifications and concrete sampling and testing.
