Graymont is one of the largest lime and limestone producers in North America. The Eden Plant is a very well-established operation in Wisconsin with long term commitments for community and environmental stewardship. The Product Handler will assist both the Assistant Operator and Kiln Operator, loading pebble lime railcars and customer trucks. Additionally, the position will be responsible for cleanliness of assigned areas. Duties are usually performed during a 12-hour rotating shifts. The swing shift is a 2-2-3 rotation; work 2, off 2, work 3, off 2, work 2, off 3 and repeats itself. Every time you come back to work you switch shifts between days and night. It adds up to working every other weekend and once a month you have a long weekend off, starting at 6am Friday until Tuesday 6am. The plant runs 24/7/365 and if your schedule falls on the holidays you are expected to work the holiday unless you have approved time off. The Role: * Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices * Loading product in both railcars and into customer trucks * Effectively communicate and cooperate with truck drivers. * Must possess the ability to detect and respond to safety hazards and equipment malfunctions in accordance with safety rules and standards. * Ability to lift, carry, push, or move a minimum of 50 lbs. * Assist in various manual labor tasks around the plant as needed such as housekeeping, greasing, and minor maintenance, etc. * Assist maintenance personnel as required. * Work in various environments, including weather variations and exposure to fine lime/limestone dust (personal protective equipment is supplied by Graymont) * Ability and willingness to be cross-trained in other job functions * Able to access and work in ALL areas of plant which include heights up to 125' above ground level * Position includes a lot of walking, climbing ladders and stairs Qualifications: * Current Driver's License is a strong asset * Over 18 years of age * High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Desired * Physically fit and ability to work shifts * Self-motivated, goal oriented, and excellent communication skills * Be able to think on your feet and troubleshoot/problem solve * Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability * Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy * Possess good math skills including four basic arithmetic functions and common units of measurement * Possess computer skills sufficient to work with JDE, Labware, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, and the ability to learn and understand PLC's (programmable logic controllers) * Must possess the ability to read and write the English language to effectively interpret manuals, regulations, reports; must have the ability to complete various types of paperwork. * Pre-employment drug screening and background check required. The Instrumentation & Automation Controls Technician/Electrician will ensure instrumentation and advanced automation, at Eden, WI plant, is installed and maintained to meet operating objectives and support remote operations requirements. This position will focus on developing, installing, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems for all plant processes. Responsibilities * Provide PLC/HMI technical support for remote control room and plant operations * Ensure all process control systems and networks remain operational and up to date * Perform trouble shooting of the PLC and control network as required * Analyze and identify process improvement opportunities including safety, environmental performance, and product quality at remotely operated sites * Communicate with mechanics, technicians, supervisors, process engineers, and operations personnel to ensure process automation and instrumentation is functioning as expected * Effectively implement management of change practices and procedures. * Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and make all electrical repairs including running conduit and wire without supervision * Able to read, understand, and design electrical schematics * Able to operate all electrical testing equipment * Able to plan and perform all work assignments * On call for jobs which you are qualified for * Understand and communicate with the lead and supervisor * Perform required housekeeping * Inspect equipment in area on daily basis, and report safety and/or maintenance items * Perform other tasks as directed by lead or supervisor Qualifications * Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC software and hardware and HMI development and maintenance * Certificate in Mechatronics or electrical certification. The hydrate operator will use computer-controlled hydration systems and related equipment; maintain product quality; troubleshoot equipment to improve efficiency and product quality. The Bagger will work as part of a two-person team to produce bags of hydrated lime; assisting, as needed in the bulk bag and mortar and ground lime production departments. The Bagger will be expected to load and secure loads on customer and contract trucks and assist in the maintenance of production equipment as needed.
