A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENTRY-LEVEL DAY OR NIGHT TRUCK UNLOADER
As a Truck Unloader, you are the cornerstone of our production process. You ensure that our raw floor has enough raw material to run the manufacturing plant. Based on what is available and what is needed, you communicate effectively with the Raw Loader Operator to coordinate which loads should be dumped next. You keep a running log of the trailers dumped as well as what is available in the yard. Much of your time is spent jockeying trailers and tipping them with a truck tipper. You work in a safe and timely manner.
You ensure a steady flow of raw material in order to maintain a consistent mix of materials. To make sure that the trailer is set up in accordance with customer requirements, you clean the Yard truck and dock area after dumping. You position each trailer in the holding lot to ensure readiness for the next routes. As a get-it-done person who likes to be active, you take pride in a job well done!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENTRY-LEVEL DAY OR NIGHT TRUCK UNLOADER
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability and willingness to work safely outside in the weather.

Position Overview
The Grand River Energy Center power plant is seeking a highly driven individual to support the operations team. This position is an entry level position that will perform semi-skilled manual work while working under the supervision of a high performing multi-unit power generation team.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
Promotes continual improvement, working to identify opportunities to improve safety and equipment reliability.
Operates scrubbers, steam turbines, generators, plant auxiliary equipment and systems during normal and emergency operations.

Must be able to work 12 hour rotating night/day shifts and extended hours when necessary and be available for emergency callouts as necessary.

Work Environment
This position requires the Driller to work outdoors for an entire tour work shift in all kinds of weather conditions, including precipitation, cold / heat, high wind, and turbulent conditions. They will be exposed to the typical conditions of the local area where the rig is located. Southern states generally experience hot summers where temperatures range from 80° to low 100° with high humidity; winters have temperatures that generally do not go below 20°. Northern states generally have hot summers with similar conditions and have cold, windy winters, with low temperatures that can be as cold as -40°.
The Driller must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. They must be able to work closely with others as they will work together in the confined area of the drilling rig and may choose to live together in crew quarters. They must be willing to work a hitch, which consists of 14 days on / 14 days off, working 12.5 hour shifts that can include days or nights and as well as weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Able to use a computer and multiple screens to monitor drilling activities.
Have an understanding of down hole operations and daily operations to be able to give instructions to hands
Able to use a calculator, standard formulas, and basic math for well control calculations
