Ensures that the team meets performance targets.

This is a senior actuarial role within Technical Underwriting and this leader will provide insights for the Commercial Auto Portfolio. The Technical Underwriting, Commercial Auto Pricing team is responsible for delivering the Auto product pricing which represents over one billion dollars of premium annually for Zurich North America. The Commercial Auto Pricing Team works closely with other Actuarial teams as well as Commercial Auto Product Management and Market Facing Underwriting teams to support achievement of Zurich's financial objectives.
This position reports to the Head of Casualty Pricing and works on a team with other LOB Pricing Managers.
The VP & Actuary, Commercial Auto Pricing Manager will also be responsible for the following:
+ Partner with the Business Unit Actuarial, Underwriting and Reserving functions
+ Detailed pricing analysis including the development of rates, rating plans, and portfolio management strategies
+ Manage and deliver detailed Trend Analyses, Loss Development Factors and other Parameter updates as related to periodic loss ratio studies for tool updates

The Risk Management & Insurance Internship Program offers an individualized experience for each intern and exposure with a commercial specialty insurance carrier.
Responsibilities:
Within their assigned business units, interns will work on meaningful day-to-day assignments and a special project in an area such as: underwriting, products or research. In order to gain a broadened perspective of the business unit, interns will also have the opportunity to meet with individuals who work in the other various functions within their assigned group.
Networking Across the Organization
In addition to the on-the-job learning that further develops their business knowledge, Risk Management and Insurance interns will also participate in activities and learning sessions with other interns, employees and leaders throughout Great American's larger organization.
The Risk Management & Insurance internship is an excellent way to grow personally and professionally, while making first-hand contributions to one of the nation's premier property and casualty insurers.
This is an underwriting focused internship. Internships typically consist of a 10-week period over the summer running late May though early August.
Qualifications:
Eligible students will have:
3.5 GPA or higher;
Proven leadership skills through work experience (prior internship/co-ops a plus) and extracurricular activities;

Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. What Is the Opportunity?
Commercial Accounts offers a wide array of guaranteed-cost products to mid-size businesses. Total account solutions include General Liability, Property, Automobile, Workers' Compensation, and Lead Umbrella. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), Commercial Accounts will partner with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and/or workers' compensation coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?
* Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
* Underwrite and skillfully negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the enterprise to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
* Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by regularly meeting in person with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products with a goal of writing and retaining accounts consistent with our risk appetite. Must be able to travel to such meetings.
* Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
* Independently develop and execute agency sales plans and frequently partner with your Managing Director (MD) to develop region/group sales plans.
