Responsibilities
* Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
* Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
* Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
* Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
* Must have at least 1 year of hands on experience
* X-Ray certification
* Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
* High school diploma or equivalent
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
