EARN WHILE YOU LEARN PROGRAM ABOUT THE PROGRAM The eligible candidate will be hired as a Student/VST and will be enrolled in the next approved Emergency Medical Technician Program. There is no cost for the class and all books, supplies, Uniforms and testing fees will be paid by AMR. All candidates will be required to fulfill a commitment to work for AMR - Billings as a full-time employee for a minimum of at least one year. When not in class they will function as a Vehicle Service Technician (VST). The delivered product is a clean vehicle inside and out with well stocked shelves and functioning equipment. It is important that the product produced is maintained to the highest standard. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES * Vehicle inventory check/control of supplies and equipment. * Clean ambulances and other field vehicles inside and outside daily. * Restock ambulance supplies daily. * Ensure deep cycling of monitor batteries as required. * Check and top off oil and window washer fluid daily. * Ensure the workspace is clean and organized. * Requisition supplies for replacement. * Inform Supervisor and Fleet Maintenance of breakdowns and cause of equipment failure for repair/reallocate ambulance to crew and keep accurate log. * Document condition of ambulance at EOS and schedule preparedness for shift personnel. * Update 'crew in service' formation on computer for equipment tracking. * Respond to daily phone inquiries from crews to help facilitate coordination between departments. * Conduct self in a professional manner in accordance with the Company's 'Standards of Conduct' policy * Arrive for duty appropriately groomed and in the proper work dress/uniform. * Complete all required/assigned Company training * Attend class on time and stay caught up on assignment. * Adhere to and comply with all Company and information security systems policies and procedures. * Perform other duties as assigned. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for responding to requests for emergency medical services and providing patient care within the scope of practice. This role requires the ability to conduct rapid and thorough medical or trauma assessments in various locations and high-stress situations. The EMT must accurately follow medical protocols, either through on-line medical control or standing orders, to ensure appropriate treatment and transport of patients to the Rocky Boy Health Center or regional hospitals for further medical care.
