The opportunity:
The Dynamic Positioning Officer (DPO) (Third Mate) works under the supervision of the Sr DPO with the aptitude to grow technical knowledge for the proper functioning, maintenance, and repair of bridge equipment within the scope of an operator's competency.
Responsibilities and functions include:
* A DPO will operate vessel navigation equipment and man a dynamic positioning operator station while the vessel maneuvers in DP.
* A DPO shall engage in numerous activities that would expose them to objects weighing more than 50 pounds. While he/she assists with the supervision and overseeing of the overall maintenance within the Deck Department craft, he/she often engages in the actual repair to expedite the repair process, particularly when the job requires his/her expertise.
* He/she will order parts, troubleshoot with outside venders on the repair of various systems, and interface with crew members, home office personnel and the Maintenance Manager.
* He/she is responsible for completing daily logs, maintaining maintenance records, and utilizing various computer programs to perform aspects of his/her job.
* Maintain a safe work environment by:
* Ensuring a safe work environment for staff during all assigned operations and tasks. Mentor all crewmembers and promote safety awareness in all operations. Lead pre-shift meetings, Job Safety Analyses and safety "walk arounds" on the SRIV
* Develop and implement necessary crew safety actions at each job using the Standard Job and other standards for operation. (I.e. JSA, JSA Audit, etc.)
* Utilize safe work practices consistent with established safety rules
* Ensure vessel meets all regulatory requirements and is properly prepared for agency inspections, including but not limited to ISM, USCG COI, and ABS load line surveys
* Conduct emergency drills as required by the US Coast Guard and keep accurate records
Requirements:
* Must possess U.S. Coast Guard Unlimited License, or flag state equivalent STCW Endorsement, for Third Mate/Third Officer, "OICNW" Oceans accompanying an Unrestricted Nautical Institute Dynamic Positioning Operator Certificate. Merchant Mariner Licenses must have endorsements for GMDSS and Security Awareness with no ECDIS limitation. The most utilized license functional areas shall be Piloting, Seamanship, Ship Handling, Dynamic Positioning, Preventative Maintenance, Personnel Supervision and Mentorship.
* They shall possess the ability to understand the principles of operation of automated systems.
* Must be capable of being trained in the operation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and possess the aptitude to instruct, guide and train indirect reports on safe operations and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems within the Deck Department craft.
* Shall have the knowledge and aptitude to act in the capacity of an alternate night department head if deemed necessary, as he/she shall assist in the management of Trainees as well as Unlicensed Ratings as an extension to the Second Mate, Chief Mate and Masters authority.

The Opportunity: We are seeking Able Seaman to be onboard our subsea rock installation vessel (SRIV) fleet and is an essential part of the deck crew, plays an active role in deck operations such as docking, undocking, and line handling. Able seaman is a part of ship's emergency response team in regard of the ship safety and pollution prevention. This is a staff position directly involved in the vessel operations; they will be required to run/operate excavators and obtain an excavator operator NCCER license. This is a domestic project-based position, with immediate assignment to our SRIV in the United States. The typical work rotation for the Able Seaman is 4 weeks on duty, followed by 4 weeks off.

The Opportunity
As an Online Hydrographic Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed surveys of underwater environments using advanced technology and software. Your primary goal is to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to the physical features of bodies of water to support safe navigation, marine construction, and environmental protection. This position requires travel and will work a schedule of four weeks on followed by four weeks off.
Responsibilities
* Inspect the quality of raw data as soon as it becomes available and notify Online Surveyor if not suitable for processing
* Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot company surveying and including mulit-beam echo sounders, Motion Reference Units, GNSS receivers and Gyros
* Accept responsibility for assigned tasks and follow all QA/QC standards, review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures, and suggest improvements as necessary
* Perform a basic level of data processing primarily to assess quality of logged data, allowing simple presentation to Survey Party Chief and sending the quality checked data files to the Offline Surveyor for further processing and charting
* Identify errors, anomalies, and data quality issues during data collection
* Ensure that a suitable navigation display is available at all remote stations across the vessel and that field graphics and other situational information is maintained up to date and accurate
* Interface surface and subsurface sensors into online software packages
* Communicate effectively during operations to direct vessel crew and other disciplines over clear comms or radio
* Update supervisor with project progress, maintain survey logs, update records, and write field operation report
* Perform basic operation on survey system components including regular system status checks
* Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* Proficiency in operating online and offline software (EIVA, Qimera, QINSY among others)
* Must have basic knowledge of computer skills, major survey equipment manufacturer's online software packages and equipment.
* Must have or be able to obtain all industry required certificates to work globally

Your United journey begins with the best Flight Attendant training in the industry! You will spend 6.5 weeks attending Initial Training in Houston, TX. For example, Canada has a strict inadmissible classification for DWI/DUI charges including misdemeanors. Responsibilities
