The Corrosion Technician is responsible for all facets of field executed corrosion prevention duties including cathodic protection, internal corrosion control, atmospheric corrosion control, protective coating and linings, materials selection and design/project support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors and assesses corrosion control efforts for assigned midstream assets. Performs cathodic protection surveys. Takes scheduled readings of monitoring devices. Reports findings.
Initiates remedial measures as necessary.
Maintains and performs repairs and preventative maintenance on corrosion control equipment.
Performs pipeline corrosion defect assessments.
Inspects and tests, with guidance, coating applications.
Maintains complete, accurate and regulatory-compliant documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required
Valid Driver's License required
Must be able to pass drug test and background check
Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
SKILLS:
Corrosion Control Industry Standards: Developing knowledge of and practical experience with industry standards for corrosion prevention and control from American Petroleum Institute (API), NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) International, Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC) and related organizations.
Corrosion Mechanisms: Developing working knowledge of corrosion mechanisms affecting midstream assets. Recognizes impact of operational environment e.g. electrochemical reaction with air, soil, water, high temperatures, chemicals, reinforced concrete, etc. Understands impact of natural gas contaminants such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, oxygen, water vapor, condensate, crude oil, trace metals.
Corrosion Mitigation: Developing working knowledge of techniques used to reduce corrosion effects such as, but not limited to, coatings and linings, anodic and cathodic protection, inhibitors, material selection and design improvement.
Corrosion Regulations: Developing knowledge of corrosion-related regulations governing midstream sector such as, but not limited to, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, OHSA standard #1910.119 Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals.
Corrosion Technologies: Developing knowledge of and practical experience with intrusive and non-intrusive technologies such as probes and non-destructive testing used to detect signs of corrosion in midstream assets and measuring effectiveness of corrosion prevention methods.
Equipment Maintenance: Developing knowledge of and ability to perform asset-specific preventative and predictive maintenance to assure equipment operation at acceptable performance levels.
Safety: Developing ability to recognize safety risks in operational activities and use appropriate measures to control and manage identified risks.
Safety Awareness: Ability to recognize and identify potential hazards. Evaluates changes in work environment with respect to impact on safety of self and others. Understands potential threats created by deviation from safety procedures and improper use of tools and equipment. Uses personal protection equipment. Uses tools and equipment in compliance with manuals and training. Calls attention to potential and actual hazardous conditions as they arise. Demonstrates knowledge of lockout/tag out procedures. Stops work if there are unsafe working conditions.

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and piping systems. This position will perform engine and compression maintenance and repair as well as operational duties when applicable. The position will have the ability to give assistance to maintenance, construction, operations, and other support services as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently acting as a gas-fire turbine and turbomachinery subject matter expert.
Provide technical support for the installation, maintenance, and operation of gas-fired turbine and centrifugal compressor assets. Assist in capital projects installation & commissioning.
Provide rotating equipment technical assistance to Operations with root-cause failure analysis and incident investigations.
Provides maintenance support for assigned assets such as, but not limited to, natural gas processing plants, pipelines, compressor stations. Assets typically consist of site, site structures, buildings and industrial equipment which varies by asset's functionality.
Performs preventative and predictive maintenance and repairs on facility-specific equipment.
Conducts condition monitoring with performance assessment software. Review diagnostics to understand current health of equipment.
Assists with equipment re-builds.
Supports asset's air quality monitoring program by maintaining and repairing leaking equipment such as, but not limited to, valves, pumps, and connectors.
Maintains complete, accurate and regulatory-compliant documentation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license required

Preferred experience in condition monitoring of gas-fired turbines and associated equipment, provide documented recommendations for corrective action.

SKILLS:
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS): Develops experience with software package with multiple maintenance functionalities such as equipment data management, preventative maintenance, work order system, scheduling planning, inventory control, asset tracking.
Equipment Maintenance: Develops knowledge of and ability to perform asset-specific preventative and predictive maintenance to assure equipment operation at acceptable performance levels.

Summary Objective
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated professional CNC Automation Maintenance Technician - With expertise in operating, troubleshooting, and repairing Voortman and Pema metalworking machinery. The ideal candidate is skilled in conducting routine maintenance and repairs as well as troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and long-term reliability. Guided by the principle of Improvement through Excellence, our maintenance team and CNC Automation Operators cooperate as a team to guarantee the utmost dependability and operability of automation systems.
Essential Functions
Responsible for delivering performance and operational uptime of our automated systems including but not limited to automated metal fabrication equipment, automated painting equipment and other technologies as assigned.
Support the development of maintenance plans for key automated manufacturing/fabrication equipment
Provide triage support during outages of our automated systems
Participates in workshops, Kaizen events and other related activities as needed
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing/fabrication equipment
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
Configure, calibrate, and optimize robotic welding cells and automation components.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories (Upkeep software).
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance and repair activities.
Provide technical support and training to operators and junior technicians as needed.
Partners internal and external teams to support manufacturing related initiatives
Identifies barriers to success and solicits help from leadership as and when needed.

This position will work out of our Imeson Facility in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in a production fabrication shop environment with exposure to loud machinery, welding equipment, grinders, and cutting tools. Presence of metal dust, fumes, and sharp materials; proper ventilation and PPE (personal protective equipment) are mandatory. Standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy materials for extended periods. Temperature fluctuations depend on season and equipment usage; some areas may be hot due to operational needs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position. This position may require occasional weekend work.

Required Education and Experience

Minimum 2+ years of experience operating Voortman metalworking machinery (e.g., V630, V310, V807, V304) Preferred.
