This position is responsible for performing duties as a full-time staff Radiologist with responsibility for performing and interpreting general and special diagnostic radiologic procedures including Mammography, CT, MRI, and ultrasonography and act as lead interpreting Physician for the FDA approved mammography program at the Oyáte Health Center (OHC).
Essential Functions and Professional Behavior Expectations:
Responsible for diagnosing and treating illness or injury through the use of medical imaging techniques.
Recommends methods and procedures for coordination of radiological services with other medical activities and advises on the kind and quantity of personnel, supplies and equipment.
Performs all the responsibilities of a radiologist including performing all non- fluoroscopic procedures; interprets all radiologic or other imaging examinations.
Evaluate Patients' medical history to ensure tests will not cause harm; suggest alternative diagnostic techniques when necessary.
Consults with providers concerning which radiologic examinations are necessary for accurate diagnosis based on the patient's physical condition, history, and symptomatology.
Responsible for the evaluation and comprehensive interpretive reports of findings for general, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and mammography exams.
Serves as consultant to clinicians in interpreting radiologic findings and assist in determining nature and extent of diagnosis through proper sequential application of various diagnostic modalities.
Consults with providers concerning referrals of patients requiring highly specialized services to other hospitals.
Prescribes x rays, for specific body areas to be taken by technologist.
Administers contrast substances when necessary. Administer or maintain conscious sedation during and after procedures.
Interpret images using computer-aided detection or diagnosis systems; analyze test data or images to inform diagnosis or treatment.
Review or transmit images and information using picture archiving or communications systems.
Records diagnosis and recommendations for inclusion in patient's record and forwards to attending physician when appropriate.
Provide counseling to radiologic patients to explain the processes, risks, benefits, or alternative treatments; explain medical procedures or test results to patients or family members.
Serve as an offsite teleradiologist for facilities that do not have on-site radiologists.
Actively participates in clinic quality improvement activities.
Participate in meetings and represent OHC as required.
Utilization of EHR with accurate timely notes to ensure required documentation is entered for billing and referrals; collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examinations results.
Must comply with federal laws and regulations as required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Privacy Act of 1974.

Supports technical services and planning as a member of the Great Plains Tribal Leaders' Health Board's Public Health Informatics and Data Modernization Team (PHIDMT).
Conducts configuration, testing and implementation of data infrastructure systems and processes to meet project deliverables. Assists with evaluation and improvement of GPTEC data infrastructure. Data infrastructure includes information systems, software, integrations, interfaces and other data supporting processes.
Assists in planning and design of informatics projects, workflows and processes that support GPTEC data needs. These needs include data access, transmission, translation, mapping, analysis, visualization and reporting.
Provides strategic assistance to GPTLHB programs, GPA tribes and tribal health partners to assure information systems support growth.
Participates in data infrastructure planning for information systems acquisitions and recommends enhancements to the organizations system and operations including, but not limited to, integrations, interfaces, user configurations and security. May coordinate user acceptance testing and validation of solutions for production launch.

The Security Guard is responsible for providing protective services to the Oyate Health Center (OHC), including OHC staff, patients, visitors, and property from possible criminal and unwarranted activities. Enforce OHC security rules and regulations.
Escorts personnel to and from parking lot as requested or in emergent conditions.
Monitors OHC vehicles to identify number and location. Monitors other vehicles parked in restricted parking areas, such as fire hydrants, or in driveways or entrances, handicapped, CHR parking, and monitors traffic flow on compound.
Assure that all unoccupied offices are locked during non-duty hours.
Respond when summoned via overhead page, cellular phone, or radio to assist staff with
belligerent or dangerous staff, patients, or visitors.
Respond to announcements of disaster, fire, bomb, tornado, or any code as outlined by OHC Policy.
Assure that all exterior hospital doors remain locked during the hours where services are not
available.
Conduct monthly street light check, reporting outages in the monthly report.
Control access to identified sensitive areas in the hospital and outlying buildings according to OHC standards.
Participate with buildings and grounds in fire drills, extinguisher checks, disaster drills, and traffic control.
Participate in quality improvement activities when requested by hospital committees.

Supervisory Controls
The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee and supervisor, in consultation, develop deadlines, projects, and work to be done.

OHC is unique in that it provides health care to Native Americans but is not located on a reservation. This facility provides comprehensive health care to adult and pediatric Native Americans residing in or near the service area of Pennington County, South Dakota.
APPE Summary:
Pharmacists participate in pharmacy-run clinics: Anticoagulation, Hepatitis C, and Spirometry. Each year 5-10 senior pharmacy student's complete clerkship rotations at our site. Drug information resources and computer support are readily available. Rotation experiences will vary to student preferences. Pharmacy student experiences may include family medicine, diabetes, psychiatry, public health nursing, microbiology lab, and administration. Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling and experience in the occupational field, sufficient to perform the major duties of the position, and to be able to answer questions and resolve problems.
Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (CSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in any US State or Territory.
Must successfully pass a criminal and background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
