Stop machines to change cutting tools and setups as required by the machining sequence. Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments. Discuss control media errors with programming personnel to resolve problems. Perform other customer-driven or product-driven duties as assigned by the supervisor. Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in CNC and assembly machine operations. Essential Skills: Knowledge of computer systems and hard gauging measuring equipment. Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes and production tools. Ability to read tooling prints and perform mathematical calculations related to machining. Background in CNC programming. Familiarity with software packages relevant to machining operations. Attention to detail and troubleshooting aptitude. Strong communication, organizational, and people skills. Conceptual thinking and mechanical aptitude. Physical Requirements: Good vision and adequate hearing. Ability to lift light loads (10-20 lbs daily) and heavier loads (50-60 lbs occasionally). Manual dexterity and coordination. Mobility for bending and kneeling as required.
